This new anime is from the same director as Cowboy Bebop

Lazarus is a new anime that is going to come out in 2024, and it honestly looks really good.
What if there was a drug that could cure anything, but those who take it will die in 3 years. Would you still take it?
In the year 2052 the world has achieved global peace. mainly due to one man, doctor skinner. A Nobel Prize winning neuroscientist who has developed a cure-all drug called Hapuna. But after Hapuna has been officially introduced to the public and has become essential. Dr Skinner disappears.
Only to return 3 years later to announce that anyone who has taken the drug will die three years later.
As a response, a special task force called Lazarus is created. Gathering agents from across the world to hunt down doctor skinner. and hopefully develop a vaccine before time runs out.
The name of the anime is Lazarus, and it's expected to come out sometime in 2024. and with the studio behind it being Mappa Studio. And the director being Shinichirō Watanabe, the same person who did cowboy bebop. This new anime definitely has me hyped

It's kinda annoying to me how people now only want MAPPA to animate their animes. It's a little bit overrated to me. They do great animation? Yes, and I have a huge respect for the animators and their hard work. But wouldn't hurt if they give chance to others studios and a break to MAPPA. Sunrise, Bones, Mad House are some examples....

The only reason they take so many anime is Mappa is on its prime and they are pressuring their employees. Depending on that and if you have any serious or protracted conditions, sure, why not? Between dragging yourself on for a decade, live 3 years free of pain and awfulness sounds ideal, or at least a bargain worth considering.
