It doesn't matter if you triple the anomaly or not if you can get perfect rolls since. it cost 9 gold to buy 3 of them: not triple: 3 refresh and 3 gold back = 6 gold Triple: 4 refresh and 2 gold back (one from the golden and 1 from the discover) = 6 gold

The entire point of the anomaly is so he gets 6 gold for a triple. A triple of ally cat would only net 5 gold, thus he goes -1. With anomaly, he gets the triple stats but goes net 0 so you lose nothing and get a bigger board.

Doesn’t really need to. Only good with mechs, this exact quest and tokens to go with otherwise it’s a lot slower. He had 3 out of 4 possible tokens (2/3 races with the jackpot race you could say). Doesn’t really happen that often this powerful and you could see how much he still thought and played in the early game, always finding the mixture of being strong enough but scaling
