Ricochet robots, sounds reminiscent of a Gamboy Game called Metal walker. It was a JRPG were combat was done via, pinballing around off enemies and walls. Making contact with an enemy did your atack damage, and you could hit enemies into one another. Everything had stats, such as weight, speed, etc. and then both you and the enemy placed items on the field as well. Was looking to see if any roguelikes are similar.

Is it ? Based on the wording, having 2 gourmand can either allow you to increase your HP by 2 once per level, or allow you to increase your HP by 1 twice per level. Both make sense, and it seems that the latter is what is happening here
