As far as I can tell, the best way to use the D-flip dice is on quality 0 items, since the quality adds up to 4 total. So a quality 0 item turns into quality 4, Q1 turns into Q3, and Q2 turns into Q2.

There are a couple more interesting items in it, though for this specific combination I believe the Ominous Doll would have helped immensely, with the -3 Luck inherent to the item. Also, if you ever feel like you want an honest to goodness challenge/jumpscare, try shooting that red-and-white butterfly in the first floor starting room. Do be careful, as the butterfly disappears once you leave the room. 1:25 Yeah, the Reverie shops have a different layout. I kinda like them more than the usual ones. So D Flip is an interesting item. It rerolls items like a D6, but: * It tends to ignore item pools, ala Chaos. Not sure if this is a bug or not * The rerolled item's quality is usually the inverse of the original, so Q0 items reroll into Q4 items, Q1 items reroll into Q3 items, and Q2 items will always be Q2 * Rerolling the item again will change it back to the previous item, similarly to Tainted/Soul of Isaac * Certain items have fixed rerolls (Cricket's Head Cricket's Body, PHD False PHD, Cube of Meat Ball of Bandages, etc.)
