This is a great looking server and the fact you stuck at it in development for 3 years is impressive (let people not forget we only see this server, but the rest of the life gets in the way along that time I'm sure). I just wanted you to know that as the comments, while not inherently negative, aren't particularly positive either. The detail is amazing and if you had to pick up a set of tools and develop a set of skills along the way to use those tools and to bring this level of detail to a server then, hats off to ya well and truly.

Sense of smell is a great idea, but I think it would work best if it was like night vision, where you could switch it on like a filter to 'see' different things which were smelly.

As much as I like that that is too OP. It’s like the sense you have as a wolf in twilight princess. Honestly even being able to tell wind direction and that you smell something is almost OP but from watching the video you can see it’s not extremely accurate. Just enough to bring realism like the wind changes direction and you smell smoke from a fire. Gives you a general sense of direction vs a laser focused nav point to where something is happening.

@@Kannerjb711 well, obviously anything like this can be scaled in terms of distance and also intensity. I'm not talking about dog level sense. Just being able to smell zombies (who would obviously smell terrible), or if meat or water was bad would be interesting, as well as smoke. Sense of smell can be pretty important in survival.

Unfortunately when joining the server (after downloading a TON of mods), the game crashes to the desktop upon joining the server. I even tried connecting directly to the server. Very odd as this is the only server this happens on and I am part of various other "tarkov" type servers and they work fine. EDIT: Now DayZ is broken and doesnt work at all after installing those mods. Crash to Desktop, gg! Unable to Locate a running instance of steam.....great!

You are a nice friend, I once found out that sledgies and shovels knock people out well me and a couple buddies was walking around on are server and was talking about what I had just found out. Well I found a sledgie on a shed and we met up in the city, as we was sitting there talking about I walked behind my buddy Jin that was in front of my buddy Brennan, pulled that sucker out and gave him one hell of a wallop. Brennan immediately lost it and recesatated him laughing so hard. He got up and I didn't know he had a shovel and he walloped me back, this went on for a couple hours until more people got on a we bopped them too lmao.

great work man - think about making 'smell' work a bit like night vision, like a filter that would let you 'see' smells. Check out a Playstation 2 game called 'Dog's life' that did this - it would be a really cool thing to add.
