Not everyone has enrolled so I'm not surprised sales went up for those who took part in the testing. But once more people jump into it, sales will probably go back to normal, except now to make the same amount of sales as before, we'll have to pay some $3K a year. Not a good thing at all, imo.

thank you for explaining promoted listings. I could not figure out how to enroll. I currently have 4400 active listings with a good percentage being older than a year so I would love to clear some out. Most of the items are from when I first started poshmark and bought everything and anything without checking comps. Great video!

Karl Lagerfeld is a reputable designer who worked with the major, ultra luxury fashion houses. He has worked for Balmain, Chloé, and Fendi. But, he is most known for his artistic directorship at Chanel starting the 1980's. I'm not sure why his brand doesn't sell for much more.

Karl passed away and in the last couple of years his name is being used for lines with QVC and diffusion lines. I don't think his couture lines are produced anymore, but I haven't looked into it. He was definitely a force in his time!

I've had promoted listings for a while now, and like you, there are some things I like and some things I don't like especially paying per click. I do find though that I am getting more shoppers looking at my closet whether they buy or not, but haven't really seen a huge boost in sales that I thought I would see like at the start.

I tried promoted listings for the one free month. My sales were up about 25% which was almost about the exact amount the promoted listing would have cost me so I chose not to keep it going. I was concerned if my sales would be hurt by others using promoted listing but this month was a very average month for me. Like you mentioned about not knowing the cost of the clicks, I don't like giving them money when they don't tell us exactly how they are charging us. Please keep us posted from month to month as you explore how promoted listings impacts your sales or not. Thank you for your content!

I also had a 2-week trial and what Sandra said is so true. Sales exploded in the beginning, but they are back down again. I, myself don't like paying per click, but I have kept it as it has brought more shoppers to my closet, whether they buy or not.

If you don’t mind, I want to advise you that you create shorter videos. When people search for a topic on KZbin, they usually will click on the shortest video. If possible make your videos 10 minutes or shorter. Try and see if that works.

Hi Sandra, Thanks so much for all the valuable information on your videos. Love watching them! I do have a question, on clear out closet days. This happens to me often, I go ahead and drop items by 10% to qualify for likers to get that discounted shipping. But, then after just dropping them, likers add to their bundles and then don't buy it. What is the reason they do this? Is this for me to give them an addt'l discount? I'm not sure why this method is not really working too well. I do drops only on Fridays and Sundays.

When you drop the price, likers get notified, and they add the item to their bundle (probably) intending to look through your closet to see what else they can buy. Then for one reason or another they abandon their "cart". Abandoned carts are very common with online shopping. That's why I prefer to reach out to likers asking them if they'd like me to drop the price first. I am also participating in the Poshmark Promoted Listings Beta test. Hesitated to sign up because the information on the promotion was much too vague. No information on how the listings are actually promoted, no specific cost quoted, and the same as you, I don't like that the charges are based on clicks vs. results. In looking at my Promoted Closet stats today I noticed that all of my sales for the last 2 days were listed in such a way that the perception is that they sold because they were promoted, but they didn't. I have auto offers set up with and every single sale was in response to an auto offer that was sent (the reduced sales and shipping costs were for auto offer amounts). Additionally with a 1300 item closet I've had over 11,000 "Promoted" items in just two days. Even if the fee is 1 cent per promotion, that's $11.00 in two days for sales I would have made anyway. I have 12 days left on my trial and probably won't continue.

Ebay works the same way. Once someone clicks on the promoted listing you'll be charged the ad fee even if they end up buying through an offer you sent. Essentially, the click is just to get the buyer to you. From there (more often than not) it's going to take an offer, discount, or message from the seller to close the sale. Also, I wonder if the 11,000 number you see is for impressions or clicks.

@@SandraTheMomBoss I double checked the numbers, 12733 impressions 267 clicks as of today. Have had additional sales and, like all the others, have been from auto offers after they like the item. The timing for the likes syncs up to my share times.

I just made my first sale but didn't receive a shipping label with the email confirmation. I tried to have it resent, still didn't receive it. When I emailed customer support, I received a generic response. I waited awhile hoping I would get the label, I did not. When I went back to my sales, I learned the order was cancelled. Okay it happens, no biggie. However, when I accessed my closet, to my surprise, all my listings were gone. I'm so confused, I don't know what happened. Has this ever happened to you? Is it possible to call customer support for assistance? I couldn't find their number.
