From what I've gatherd on it, it put's a debuff on team mates that knock you back if ur next to them, and it spins and shoots bubble clockwise that knock back, there is also a speed boost in the water, looks funny as hell defo troll potential XD.

I watched Guzu's video which is a bit more comprehensive. The knock back is an explosion debuff on one player. Apparently you are supposed to jump into the water if you have it to avoid knocking back the rest of the raid.

Another streamer was doing this and there was actually something specific about the mechanic at the first boss so the knockback could be avoided somehow but even if u get knocked back the bubles down in the water give you alot of swim speed so u can quickly go back. For a lvl 25 and as a raid mode this feels just like "enhanced" BFD dungeon so it def looks gr8. I hope the next dungeons that will be have Raid mode will have new interesting mechanics just to spice things up.

True, and it's a level 25 raid, no need to make a bunch of levelers wipe over and over to progress, it's meant for people to level in. That said, that first boss is pure troll, the knockback really makes the fight feel like it's hard w/o it actually being hard, which is the best kind of "difficulty" for newer players. A fight where you're like "oh my god that was so close" without the main tank just getting smashed for half hp every hit is probably the best kind.

They only showed the first 3 bosses in the demo, there's more in the raid. The hydra at the end is said to be particularly challenging. The first boss has a mechanic where a player gets a debuff, and at the end of that debuff everyone gets knocked back if the debuffed player doesn't jump in the water. It's basically Living Bomb, you gotta run out with it. That's why they kept getting knocked back. Being a level 25 entry raid, it's not going to be as difficult as the later raids that are coming. It's just some good fun.

This Boss has mechanisms that make you swim and run like 3X faster. when you get thrown in the water you need go to a bubble and you get a buff you can swim and run like 3X faster.

DBM is such a crutch for gamers. It's made playing a wow seem more like a chore. I remember running the last Legion raid for weeks without it tanking. Our GM was shocked I was doing great without it. Only found out due to others causing the raid to wipe. He kindly asked I install ..but I just ignored what it told me since I already knew the fights. DBM should only be for folks running mythic version stuff...at that point mechanics should be memorized by then.

WIth modern WoW bloat, I really like the idea of having low level raids even more than having everything piled at 60. Hope they don't make 60 raiding too hard but also love the idea of them trying to segment the game a little. Modern / Retail WoW is so bloated that I don't want to play. Having a cap at 25 with a reward raid at such a low level is a neat way to have someone like me play.

Looking forward to it. Dragonflight lost its appeal quick for me, but War Within and Metzen's return for what seems to be the closing chapter of the actual plot points that interest me are a breath of fresh air. WoW's 10-12th Expansion to close out the game for good and then move into a new Chapter, perhaps in a different Universe in WoW's cosmos, would be great for a WoW 2. Metzen's Lawbrand Worldbook universe is fantastic and I could totally see him helping to set up something like that next. As a DM myself, these are the kind of big stories you wanna see unfold. I don't know about you all, but every single WoW presentation, even the Diablo IV one as well, all had the staff looking like they felt a little more free. Let's hope the acquisition by Microsoft really did just give them their life back from Activision and that they can just make fun games again. Season of Discovery will be a nice thing to play until War Within. Probably get 6-10 clears of BFD before the level cap opens up (3-Day lockout).

Its new and different. But for players who dont obsess about raiding I am anxious for the pvp event and the timeline. Would love more playable races be added in like a High Elf/Blood Elf, Ogre, Goblin and Furbolg (alliance, Hunter,Warrior,Druid,Shaman, Tauren like racials) to start.

I would add Furbolg to NE zone. I would add Goblin to Orc/Troll zone. I would add Ogre to Tauren zone, add a path to Desolace. High elf start in Farstrider Lodge style place in Dun Morogh, adding in the airport and a pathway to run to wetlands to avoid the gy skips. Blood Elf are added to Tirisfal glades north coasts. If there is a lot of resources you open Quel-thalas and let them choose faction at lvl 10, share a neutral city that alliance and horde can be in but have no pvp (Silvermoon)

All goblin cities now have zepplins connecting them. Players can jump from these paths to cleverly access new areas for content exploration. Steamwheedle port is open and goes to Ratchet and Booty Bay. The alliance sail a boat from menethil to Southshore. Darkshore to Feralas (allowing for players to jump off at desolace coast) To compensate for the Deeprun Tram, the Horde get a "Kodo Karavan" that traverses the barrens extremely quickly (same time as the tram). Players can jump on at one end and then enjoy speedy travel between ogrimmar and Thunderbluff.

i hope they dont forget pvp players. like world pvp, for example when player reaches 60 lv auto pvp should always stay on, but doasnt kill the player, leaving him with 1 health point, letting him 1 minute to heal up, the max level player wont cross elwyn forest thinking ,,im god" rogue always can ambush him leaving with 1 health for young wolf to finish the job. that technique alone will let max. lv people to not forget lovely vanilla zones and pay attention on it Blizz!. otherwise fells like another dungeon expansion without pvps/bgs.

Why would Blizzard think that BRD of all dungeons would be great as a raid? I would say people hate that dungeon more then the opposite. The annoying water elemental that kicks you in the water so you spend the whole fight running is a great example of that.

Well if you aren’t awful and actually do the mechanic correctly only 1 person should be jumping in the water at a time. This is sort of a standard mechanic. 1 person gets marked with a debuff so they have to move away from the group to negate the debuffs effect

Hot take on Season of Discovery: They completely change the class balance since level 25 (and more going forward). You reach level 60 and by that time the game is so changed that you can't unfuck it. Then they build on top of that as a baseline for classic+. Seems like a completely wrong way to do classic+, but everyone is just high on copium with these crumbs of content and can't see it.

Classic players having to do actual position based tactics(position yourself so the knockback has you land on the broken bridge, not in the water) and they just fall apart. if its not 1) Stand still 2) your basic rotation, they have no idea. lol.
