@@poro9084 Going second the dragon can pop an opponent's field spell, summon itself onto their field and then the mikanko player can attack into it. If they somehow don't win that turn they can kaiju the dragon to wipe all monsters except the mikankos since they can't be destroyed by card effect and the dragon only cares if it leaves the opponents field and goes to the graveyard.

This is the archetype that most effectively told its lore through their effects in YGO, maybe ever. No need to analyze card art or cross reference archetypes, by card effect alone you gather that THE DRAGON DESTROYS THEIR CITY AND SO THEY RISE AGAINST IT. Its not the most COMPLEX story, but its so unusual to see a theme so well done in the game im super impressed.

Reading through the cards, I actually kind of like the way the archetype is panning out, with the text of the cards marked to make it so it's slightly harder to just splash a chill Ashened engine into *any* deck with a Field spell by naming that all the Ashened monsters require specifically Obsidim on the field to special themselves. The interaction is also really neat: give your opponent Obsidim to add Veidos, Hero, or King depending on what you don't have in grip. That by itself sets up Veidos on the opponent's turn for a special from Deck off of Obsidim, which grabs Hero to threaten a board wipe if your opponent doesn't just link off Veidos (goddamn it). Alternatively, you summon Veidos on *your* turn to either grab Hero for the board wipe threat or Priestess to search probably King for Hero from Deck, alongside setting the Continuous Trap to snatch back Veidos and weaken your opponent's board by 2800 ATK (not incredibly special, but in some situations that is honestly fine.) It's a nice little contained bit of interaction for what it's worth, but being an archetype trying to destroy things right now is *not exactly* the greatest place to be, but that's sometimes just how it goes.

I don't want to opt for floodgate type shenanigans like it locking it's controller out of stuff, but if Veidos just read "While this card is not in its owner's control, it cannot be Tributed, or used as material for a Link, Xyz, Synchro, or Fusion summon" it would be a lot better.

A basic combo starts with Awakening or Priestess/Obsidim + Veidos: 0) Awakening add Veidos (skip to 2) 0.5) NS Priestess add Obsidim 1)Activate Obsidim 2)Veidos pop field set Eternity 3)Obsidim SS King (You don't add Priestess unless you have Obsidim, King, or Hero already in hand because you will not be able to use the added card otherwise) (You can also just SS Hero and Skipping King instead to avoid veiler) 4)King SS Hero 5) Hero pop Veidos (don't pop the field) activating Obsidim 6) Obsidim End Phase effect drawing 1 This ends on King, Hero, Obsidim, and Set Eternity with Veidos in GY. While its only a board wipe on its own, the deck can do this on repeat and can quickly OTK on the crake back... During opponent's turn: 7)Eternity effect add back Veidos 8) Veidos pop field set Eternity (do this when you want to pop the field) 9)Obsidim SS Priestess (Hero if it has been removed from field but you cant OTK next turn unless you draw another name) 10)Priestess add Obsidim 11)Hero pop Veidos activating Obsidim 12)Veidos pop all monsters Hopefully a well timed effect stops your opponent from just killing you and they end their turn with you having 1 Obsidim on field, 1 Obsidim in hand, 1 face-up Eternity and a Set Eternity with Veidos in GY which means you can do it all over again. Your turn: 13)Eternity effect add back Veidos 14)Veidos pop field (Set Eternity if you have anymore (it feels like a 2 of at most)) 15)Obsidim SS Priestess 16)Priestess add King 17) Obsidim we added last turn 18) SS King using its effect SS Hero (If your opponent has a defense monster pop it with Hero's effect) 19)Eternity take back Veidos minus 2800 Atk This should be game as your total Atk equals 8000. Just hope your opponent does not have more then one defense monster. Thoughts: Numbers wise 3 Veidos, 1-2 King, 2 Hero, 3 Priestess, 3 Obsidim, 3 Awakening, and 2-3 Eternity totaling about 17 card at the lowest. The deck is also very weak to Ash, it stops Veidos SS for a turn and stopping Obsidim SS is Killer if you dont have any extenders. But overall the deck has a good start with sadly means tcg will find away to mess it-up.

Ashened ends on one interruption that’s a more telegraphed torrential tribute. If you try to blind second with these… you can wipe the board after your convoluted combo, but then what? You’ve cleared some of your monsters so it’s gonna be pretty tough to OTK. These cards look cool but they don’t really accomplish anything meaningful. Hopefully the second wave of support makes this deck playable.

There is also another huge issue going first: the opponent can just hit battle phase and walk over Hero with the Veidos you gave them before you get the chance to wipe an actual board. Sure, the trap takes control back of the Veidos... but doesn't solve the issue because Veidos only triggers if it's sent from the opponent's field

Awakening and Veidos not being Ashened cards is an unbelievable blunder. The package has a very clear line that awakening gets you through with one card, but you cant access that line otherwise unless you draw veidos + field spell/priestess, both of which need to be hard drawn. If you dont have any way to get veidos in hand, the deck doesnt do anything, which means you should be playing 3 of it. Yet at the same time, veidos is an unbelievable brick if you dont have field spell access.
