I honestly think it has more to do with the map in this case. You have a free backwards third. No way to really harass the main. The nat has a small ramp and then you basically have a free easy to defend fourth that only has one attack path if you have the small ramp to your nat covered.

Terran is not even that effective behind a wall of static defense how can they not turtle maybe if things like thors were not abductable terran could push out with thors guarding tanks zerg is way too overpowered late game in an open space even air toss has to turtle vs them

Then I found winter and I find I literally can’t sit through other casters with the exception of PiG and even then, I skip a lot of it. I actually watch the between map downtime for Winters humor and because he says it helps his yt standing. 😂

Balance might never be equal. It’s close enough for most. But for tournaments at this level just a rule about playing all races fixes the imbalance better than buffs and nerfs.

And of all the static defense changes they could have made, they improved the only race that pretty much has to turtle with Queens at the start. And nerfed the only semi mobile anti air unit Z has. Make it make sense. There’s so many ‘buffs’ they could have done to promote pro activity, like if you increase Queen cost, increase their AA damage by 2 instead of increasing spore damage by 33%. That would at least promote some early aggression while making it more prohibitive to mass Queens. Instead, now you just see six queens pooping and peeing on hatcheries while sitting next to spores.

I think reynor made a perfect army composition in the first game to trade with a turtle terran, but he made a strategic mistake that made the game longer than necessary : for a VERY LONG WHILE he didn't mine the last base the terran was mining, while having it, while it was under no threat. Reynor should have mined the terran bases sooner.

Only a Terran can win by just defending (even if it was an almost win). edit: Don't cast another Spirit game, they are awful. You can keep casting Terran game to the very low end in general, watching people play with cheats is not fun, unless they are getting obliterated in non-turtle games.
