One of my friends is like gold at best and is somehow now playing in diamond+ absolutely getting shat on every game but because there's also actual higher ranked players in the lobby theyre not dropping out of diamond. I was a 4100 zen one trick and still play him exclusively, but i've got like 3000 hours in him and i didn't play the OW2 launch and I heard your ranks were wrong so I never played and all i've heard was that there were massive ranking issues so I kinda just stopped playing, or I only play quickplay. It's sad but yeah, i haven't touched comp since OW1

That annoying teammate that kept telling you to swap is the reason why I'm glad I mute chat. There are just too many people who have nothing nice or helpful to say and feel the need to ruin everyone's fun. My brother wanted to play Genji in a match and a teammate told him to swap because "Genji is bad" before the match even began. He even trash-talked him for no reason about having a Genji skin. My brother played well despite the nagging from him. Some people don't care about your level of skill. Simply playing a hero they don't like is enough of an excuse for them to be jerks to you.

People who tell you to get off a hero before the match even starts are the most annoying people istg. Also a lot of the time people will tell someone to switch but not give what they think the person should switch to. I'm a support main and if someone was like "swap zen" I'd ignore them or drop a lol but if they said "hey, can we get a kiriko instead of zen? Cleanse would be really helpful against ____" I'd at least consider it. It's usually not what they say but how they're saying it. Also I have PDA Profile autism so telling me to do something is the fastest way to make sure I will never do it.

I leave the chat on, I love it when they talk shit before a game because it flips a switch in my brain and I just start running it down. In any case where I am playing a character where you gotta hit those shots and those shots just are not hitting, I will try to switch to someone that can deal quite a bit of damage but also flee the fight easily. I main Sojourn and Widowmaker to kinda give you an idea of what kinda player I am 😂

The one good thing about the nerf is that it kills the “stand still like a turret very far away and never engage” playstyle, I hate that this was viable on some maps and the nerf kinda forces the player to be proactive and make plays, not just full on holding an angle and never moving. Good to see the nerf barely affected you, I was curious and I’m honestly not that surprised you still kick ass lol

9/10 I outsmart all the Hanzo and Genji "counters", mostly with Hanzo, there's so many possibilities for the shimada brothers to kill Sym, Moira, Mei, Reaper, and Tracer, (and the annoying flying ones) the trick is to put in your hours and don't let a dumb counter discourage you, now you also gotta be strong enough to admit when you gotta counter pick as well 😂

@@Hendrick_G When Tanking I main Dva, and all the time get told to swap when the other team pulls out Zarya. Reality is, Zarya is pretty easy to outplay for any decent Dva player, especially given how much more reactive Zarya is (in that she needs to get charged to deal good damage). And against Sym or Mei, also not too hard to take on 1v1 (at least until this season; haven't played much against the new Mei). They start stacking those counters and it gets a little harder and you now have to be a GOOD Dva player to outplay them, but not as much if your DPS are worth their salt, cause if the enemy is swapping specifically to counter Dva, that gives the your own DPS a lot of freedom to easily outplay them if they know what they're doing. So if your own DPS are any good, you still get away with multiple counters against you while only being a 'decent' Dva. But yeah, when it ain't working it ain't working, cause sometimes that counter picker really knows how to play that hero and it's better for you to swap in the end. At least in Comp. QP is QP, so just have fun there.

i've started maining Widow on season 3 of OW1 and at the beginning i was the backliner, getting picks here and there, i slowly switched to a more aggressive style because i started noticing that people usually look for the widow in the back, not in your face. This nerf sucks in a few fights, but is not lile the character is dead, you can definitely work around the nerf

Yep. This nerf doesn't affect Kenzo that much because he's always been a very aggressive, frontline Widow anyway, but for players like Kephrii who used as much range as possible, using cover, tactical positioning and actually played Widow like a sniper character this nerf is devastating.
