As a first time mom who had an unexpected, unplanned c section after 21 hrs of labor, you're DEFINITELY going to want that upside down peri bottle. It was a life saver and I'm so glad I took it with me to the hospital. C sections are no joke.

I was also diagnosed with placenta previa at 20w, I have a scan to check it has moved next week so fingers crossed for us both! I was told in the UK that 90% of cases diagnosed at 20w have moved by 32w so I'm feeling really optimistic!

Well I’m sure the placenta thingy is going to resolve on its own but just in case it doesn’t I recommend watching the last pregnancy journey of Delilah Loeppky (here on KZbin), she had vaginal births and then placenta previa so it ended up having a csection, she was so scared! But finally she found strength and peace with it. Good luck! 💫

My placenta was posterior and only 0.8cm from my cervix. Stayed exactly the same until we saw at my 36w scan that it had moved 3+cm away. Praying that the same happens for you! 🙏🏽

I too had placenta previa with my second kiddo and it stayed in a less ideal spot until my 36th week where it moved just enough to allow for a natural birth. Hoping the same result for you. Just don’t stress and don’t overdue it.

So I didn’t have a previa but I did have low lying placenta (not covering but close enough that if it didn’t resolve I would get a C section too) I just had my 32 wk ultrasound a few weeks ago to make sure it had moved, and it had! I know it’s hard but try not to stress yourself out in the meantime, at least you don’t have to wait as long for your follow up too 😂

You're amazing, such a kick-butt mama, you've got this - crossing fingers placenta previa resolves quickly. But came here to comment on tailbone pain - regardless if your tailbone pain is pregnancy related (yours) or not (mine) a pelvic physical therapist (PT) can help (speaking from experience, they are AMAZING). Insurance covers it just like any other physical therapist appt, but they sometimes take a while to get in to see. Highly, highly recommend seeing a pelvic PT. Mine said the moment I get pregnant to schedule with her and she'll help keep my SI joint dysfunction in check and tailbone pain to a minimum if they come back (which they likely will).

If you do have to have a c-section I'd be happy to tell you some of my tips for recovery. I had a c-section in november 2020 and the recovery really wasn't terrible. I was walking within 12 hours and had about 80% range of movement back by the end of the first week. By 2 weeks I was basically back to full range of movement and little to no pain. the feeling that your organs are going to fall out is really intense for a while though. The compression garment was a *life saver* and I can't recommend it highly enough. My scar is also really not visible. The incision is at the panty line so even in a bathing suit no one is going to see it. It is a large scar, but mine isn't raised or painful at all. Another weird thing is the numbness. Since the nerves get cut you have numbness on your stomach for a while. I still don't have full feeling in my lower tummy and I'm not sure at this point if i ever will.. but it doesn't really bother me too much. You stop noticing it once the pins and needles feeling goes away. Hopefully you wont need to have one though! Glad little Juniper is looking healthy and well developed :)

My duedate was July 15th. But my babygirl came July 23th 2021 via C-Section. I was really sad because I prepared myself for a natural unmedicated birth. But her cord was around the neck so her heart rate dropped with every contraction. My pregnancy was really good after the first trimester. But my delivery was really horrible :/ I got spinal headache and the anesthesist didn't want to diagnosed it until final another guy came in and said I have it and I need a blood patch. And then a week later I got a c-section infection and had to go to the hospital again. I was so devasted why I had to go through all of this :/ But now 7 months later I am happy again and my babygirl is thriving :D She was also 7.1 pounds and is so small. I can still use 3-6 months clothes with her :'D I really hope the best for you. I think you are a great mom and can be proud.

27+3. Failed my 1 hr barely earlier this week. I tolerated the test really well and it really wasn’t that bad. However I went it for the 3 hr this morning and got so sick and had to sprint out of the waiting room and vomit. I was only 40 minutes into the test 👎 it’s 7 pm and I am still sick to my stomach. I’ve had no morning sickness in my pregnancy so I’m shocked. I meet with my doctor next week so we’ll see what she wants to do for next steps.

@dsanmoral
@dsanmoral 2 жыл бұрын
I was in labor for 24 hours, and didn’t have an epidural until 8cm because of the extreme pain I was in. I was expected to have a vaginal birth considering that I was healthy the majority of my pregnancy. But God had different plans and I ended up having a c-section because I got an infection. Girl anything can happen. The worst thing I did was have expectations and that messed me up later on. I used to say the same thing you say “I hope I don’t have a c-section” and I GET it’s because your proud of your body being able to do it naturally the first time. But certain words can make c-section mommas feel bad. I don’t feel bad about it now, but I know in the beginning when I got my CS I felt less of a mother because I couldn’t “push”. Some of us prepped for an unmedicated birth and were never able to feel proud of ourselves.
@MeganAcuna
@MeganAcuna 2 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry that you had that experience and I hope you're able to feel proud of yourself now looking back! C section and recovery from that is a huge accomplishment in itself and I encourage you to look at it that way! I did be sure to say in the video that there's nothing wrong or bad about a C section or an epidural as a disclaimer but I also have my personal preference and that's totally okay! I always want to talk openly on here about my fears and goals but I'm sorry if me talking about my desire for an unmedicated labor was triggering for you.

If (which I bet you don't) you have to have a csection that will give you experience on the other side of birth and you'll be able to give advice on both natural labor and csection! I was told through my pregnancy fat stored in your thighs and butt during pregnancy actually helps with breast milk production! I'm not a doctor and can't confirm this though lol. I had to have a csection because my son was breeched. Absolutely nothing wrong with having a csection. The recovery time is not as terrible as some make it out to be. I was moving houses out of state by 6 weeks PP. Hoping you won't have to have one. I was really hoping too, wanted a non-medicated labor. Didn't happen. You'll be fine. Just thought I'd add... I didn't personally experience placenta previa, mine was a small abruption, which was terrifying for a bit, but that's another story (all is well). However, my cousin was pregnant at the same time as me and had placenta previa... It stressed her out pretty bad as well, and all was great in the long run. It moved and she went on to have a natural birth. I know you already have a lot of people telling you it turned out good for them, but I know I loved hearing as many stories as possible that had the ideal outcome anytime I faced a potential issue during pregnancy.... It will all go well!

Everyone gains different amounts with each pregnancy and the recommended range is not really based on science or evidence, so good job not stressing and denying weight check-ins! Acupuncture by someone good at women's health & Webster Certified chiropractic care both can be REALLY beneficial in resolving placenta previa. The chiropractor might help with your tailbone, too. And surprisingly, a pelvic floor physical therapist might help, too! Good luck, I know that stuff can be annoying!

Hey Megan! I know how stressful that was for you and I'm sorry. I had a partial previa at my twenty week and it was so stressful. 90% of those resolve though so take heart--mine did!! I didn't have a sex ban at that point but I had a bleed at 27 weeks and it was terrifying and then I wasn't allowed to have ANYTHING until 32 weeks when it has resolved... And boy five weeks with NOTHING is rough! Be aware that you may need to have a third ultrasound at 32 like I did...sometimes it takes awhile to move. But I promise it will be okay. What helped me was writing a birth plan for a gentle Cesarean and for an unmedicated vaginal birth so that I knew I wouldn't get blindsided. Message me on Instagram if you want to talk about it--it really helped me to talk to other moms who had gone through it 💜
