My favourite controller is the Hori split pad pro. No rumble, no gyro and no battery but damn it’s comfy and the buttons and sticks feel incredible

I love my split pad compact but I wish I had picked up the pro too/instead 🤔

I really like the mobapad 2 with the mechanical buttons and hall sticks, extremely satisfying to use and has gyro/rumble/nfc. The only downside is that to start with I had to constantly keep recalibrating the right stick when I first got it

It looks nice especially because I love anything GameCube inspired, but it also looks cheap and like you could break it in one drop. I’m honestly happy with my nitrodeck it’s perfect for me, but I wish the nitrodeck had the nice lights built in. I’ve tried so many alternatives I’m just happy with the nitrodeck. I used to use the hori split pad but it wasn’t comfortable for me and was missing to many features but it had great buttons, then I got the binbok which was my favorite for years until I got the nitrodeck for Christmas. In the future I hope the next Nintendo system is comfortable enough to not need grips or alternatives

Will it scratch your switch like the retro flag?

I'm an 8bitdo stan, so Im probably just gonna wait for them to release their own Switch deck/joycons. They have the best D-pads
@siskavard Жыл бұрын
If they were gonna make something like that they would've done so already.

What about the d-pad on this one? I play a lot of retro-style 2D platformers and the d-pad on my Nitro Deck works great! The Nitro Deck also LOOKS sleeker and less "busy". Not to mention the "Hall Effect" analog sticks. Does this one have those too?
@packers12to80 Жыл бұрын
Def doesn't have hall effect sticks. But honestly the nitro deck I can't stand due to the button placement. It's a immediately no go due to that.

It'll be really awesome if they used the lights for ambient lighting. So the colours extend out of the screen. Maybe one day they'll make that.

I use my Nitro Deck on the go, but I use my HORI Split Pad PRo at home.

I have a ton of these. Not a fan of the nitro deck due to its complete screw up on the button placement. I have binbok controller style joy cons and a pad thats similar to the one he is showing except its got diff style joy sticks and uses rgb lights in a few places(which can be turned off). Like i said i have a ton of these diff joycon replacements and pads. Its become a weird obsession 😂. But i def rank some above the nitro deck, it is way over priced and im not a fan

RetroFlag is probably the all around best deck/controller adaptor for Switch. It has GREAT thunky rumble. Gamecube color scheme and soft texture plastic. It features: hall effect sticks, motion, and it has a usbC passthrough to charge. It however doesn’t light up, nor does it have its own powersource so It would drain the switch faster. But it sure is a quality product. (I’ve never experienced the scratching some have)

Idk if you have tried the doyoky Hall effect controllers. They feel so good to me. Idk more content for you lol

Have try the n64 HDMI link cable from pound technology yet? Just seen it and seeing about reviews before ordering myself. Thanks.
@Madlittlepixel Жыл бұрын
Well I havent done a video on it but have used it. Its just svideo being output through hdmi, so ya gotta go in with expectations in check. There are other options that do the same and cost like 3 times the price, so its a decent cheap option for what you are paying. Its the best you can get out of a non modified N64.

The Nitro Deck is better than the Switch Lite or Switch joycons, but it feels like you're holding a giant hoagie every time you play it. How's this for fighting games? There's something out now called the Mobapad S6 that looks like it's extremely well suited to fighting games. Looks like the Switch ain't dead yet!

NGL it looks like it reuses quite a few parts from the Retroflag grip I got, I got a few gripes with the retroflag like the stick being pretty stiff and the right shoulder button feels mushy, also not as detailed a rumble as my joycons and the dpad feels mehh. Sounds like a few of those issues might apply here too. Also this looks like it blocks game flap from opening up fully but its hard to tell. I do like the width which lets the sticks be less in the way of the face buttons, and that game cart holder idea is great (plenty of space in these grips for such a feature but no one does). Not a big fan of back buttons though but at least its only one button.
@Madlittlepixel Жыл бұрын
It does slightly block the cart slot, I forgot I intended on mentioning that.

I didn't see if you tried the Dpad with a fighting game. I know that is what most people use the Dpad for. But maybe you tried it on another game.

The look of all of this is cool, but it kinda sucks when realize you could have bought a switch lite with a hori grip for cheaper and more comfortable.
