NOTE FOR LATEST VERSION: 1. For me, it didn't take me to the SD backup menu automatically in Modmii menu (so I selected the SD option myself) 2. For me, Power Button actually moved things and Reset button was the one that 'selected' things

Ok so, when it takes you to the menu this above comment says, you need to hit power till you are in settings. From there, select settings. Then it takes you to the backup screen in the video.

@@abdulwahabvanreenen723 It did on 3 out of 4. One of the mods failed in some insidious way and I spent a dozen hours trying to figure out why it wasn't working the way that it should. Certain games would freeze during loading screens and I trouble shot every angle I could think of. I tried a couple different methods of remoding the console as well and the issue persisted so it may very well have just been an issue with the Wii. Either way, this method worked well and it's pretty streamlined as well as not needing a Wi-Fi connection for the Wii so I may continue to mod with mod mii in the future.

FYI under the most current version of BootMii, the Power/Reset buttons are reversed from what is described in the video.

If at 8:14 it goes black make sure your date and time is correct down to the second. So if you think you put the time in right but it's half a minute behind it won't work!!!

At 10:00 BootMii shows a previoua screen first not shown here, with options to boot to Wii, HBC, SD or access settings. You need to access that settings, cog ⚙️ icon on using Power button on console to navigate to that.... And then you'll see the icons shown in the video here, to dump to SD

You navigate by pressing Power and the Reset button is the ENTER button Also, I had to change the settings on my Wii to the current date to get the letterbomb to appear after inserting the SD card

Hey big step that most people dont think about : your date and time need to be set properly for letterbomb to work. It's rare that it happens but it did to me once and it was a pain to figure out.

Watched many of your videos and found them to be very informative. Love the Wii and softmodded many of them connecting the Wii with a USB network device and use the letter bomb. One thing that I seen becoming very popular is getting the new $20 Walmart onn Android box and install Kodi for movies and retroarch for gaming. Could you do a full tutorial on that soon?

BootMii isn’t controlled with a Wii remote. You control it from the actual front of the Wii itself. You use the power button to switch between options, and the reset button to select them.

its seems that you have to use a specific sdcard, 2gb, formatted to fat32, and it cannot be SDHC, SDXC, or SDUC type, only plain old sdcards work

if you ever have the option of installing BootMii as boot2, choose this option over installing BootMii as IOS. Older Wiis should be able to do this because Nintendo's changes to boot2 can't patch it Nice to know that LEGO Indiana Jones hack is still a thing! I'll definitely need to update my Wii as I exploited it many years ago. I wonder if I can use my WBFS disk that I put all my games on, or if I need to re-copy them...

Your SD card might be locked. I have a small piece of clear tape on mine to keep the lock from sliding when I put it in the front of the Wii.

I jailbroke my Nintendo Wii with the HackMii mod. I think that's the one where you put the IP address. I also used a 2GB SD card because I didn't know that the Wii supports at least 32GB SD cards after some updates.

I tried 2 times but at the end it says 4 of 50 files are invalid/missing. There is a problem with downloading some of the required patches while creating the SD card.

I added modmii 7.02 (by now) and during the installation I wasn’t prompted to add my MAC address. Didn’t work nothing happened when I inserted the fat32 SD on the Wii.

I hacked my Wii the first year a hack was available, I chipped the console first but a guy I worked with had ways to get information and software extremely early via groups online. The hacks are easier and more customized these days. I had one of the first softmodded Wii's in the UK.

By the way, I have a modded Wii for about a year and the other day while playing DDR with the dance mat, my wiimote disconnected amd I have not been able to get it to sync ever since. The GameCube ports on the side also are not working now. The Wii still boots up, but cannot navigate anything since I can't connect a controller. Is there any solution for me or is this considered bricked?
