Psst… We’re about to tell you about one of New York City’s hidden gems. It’s the Acuario Cafe, and you’ll find it in the Garment District on 37th Street. There’s no sign outside-you have to walk through a nondescript freight entrance to visit this tiny Latin American restaurant. Rodolpho Perez runs the neighborhood joint, and he takes care of his customers like family. For just $5, you can get a hearty plate of pollo guisado and other delicious Dominican dishes. Let’s lunch!

To update you guys we did close unfortunately, my father had to get surgery and wasn't able to walk until recently alongside 2020 being hard on our business while he became ill, we've been through tough times but him and the family are well! We've started to do catering until we can get another location if anyone is interested feel free to reply and let me know thanks everybody God bless you all

You'd have a heart attack if you discovered the month's rent that little hot dog cart pays to sit by central park. That's why his hot dogs are $10. This guys hole in the way cafe in a freight entrance has zero people walk by each day, its hidden. It costs much less than that hot dog stand on the corner. People find out by word of mouth. It starts with the laborers and building employees that find out about the cafe in the freight entrance. All the delivery guys who use the freight. Next thing you know the word gets out. Genius idea. I bet he also sells coffee and sweets at breakfast for all the workers

. theres plenty of shitty places with a lot of different cultures. what makes ny different is the hustle, the drive and the creativity of all of these people. that combined with the fact that you have so many different cultures makes ny great, but its more the energy that new yorkers have
