This incredible apartment is frozen in time. Its 121 Years old and looks totally different than boring, modern apartments in glass sky-scrapers. Plus this nyc apartment is located in the best part of Manhattan right by Central Park! Its also got 2 floors and a cool layout with a sunken kitchen.

What sane person would ever move out of this apt?? I would be buried in it rather then give it up. It's so charming, just simply gorgeous. It's the total NYC experience all rolled into one. Really enjoyed this tour today. It's simply stunning, and that's an understatement.

Once a person reaches a certain age, those steps are difficult or impossible to navigate. The apartment is charming, but needs a half bathroom and a washer and dryer.

@@michaeledwards1644 I lived in NYC for many years, from studio to one bedroom, rent control. My job moved out of state and I'm in the burbs now.....ugh. I don't need a lot of rooms to be happy. Even the realtor asked me why I was only looking at small homes. Because I lived in tiny apts for so many years, I'm used to it and have no desire to have tons of square footage. I'm going to move back to the city eventually, and frankly, I can still be happy in a studio if I had to. It's what's outside my living space that's more important to me. To each his own.

Lots of charm here, and a good-sized living space (though awkwardly accessed). I'm not keen on the spiral stair to the bedroom and the (apparently) only bathroom. The location and the old-time atmosphere are worth something extra, but maybe not that much extra.

@RnR-Rebel

Yes, the accessibility to LR is very odd. I wonder if this was split, the loft added for bedroom space? Normally, there’d be 1-3 steps up to the LR, just like sunken LRs have a few steps down (very cool, only been in 1 apt w/ that feature). If it was split w/ loft built I then wonder if the loft can be built out into at least include a small guest room, maybe ¾ of a second floor, below it squeezed in the space that leads to LR a half bath & laundry? But I wouldn’t pay that much only to make changes when you can find 2 BRs 1 ½ bath for same price. Especially if it’s run down but still has OG charm, you’d get even more space! Cheers!

How much is it? Your guest would have to go through the bedroom to use the bathroom. Using the steps to get to the living room might not be comfortable. If you are a good jumper like Cash; jump down and go to the kitchen. They could had put some steps closer to the kitchen side. A half bath down stairs would had been nice. If you cooking and have to use the bathroom; you would have to run upstairs fast or cut your stove off until you get back down stairs. The living room is very nice.

Beautifully decorated but wildly expensive and totally impractical layout. Is that a 3 foot drop from the LR to the entry. So dangerous. The one BR and one bath is up the narrow twisting spiral staircase, oh boy. And all for just $1.3 million plus monthly condo fees. I'm guessing its a condo? coop? Cash never says. So typical for one of the few areas of NYC that don't look like a slum.

I love this loft. The only problem is in much of NYC, the $1.3M cost is likened to an upfront stadium PSL fee. You're paying for the privilege of paying $2K+/mo for taxes & fees for as long as you own it. That may be why the owner sold it.

It’s not a loft. It’s a townhouse that, now has apartments. The bedroom is loft, meaning raised but not a second floor. Cash calling it a loft is just one of the many inaccuracies he does… like those walk-in closets, or calling this neighborhood midtown east, when it’s clearly the upper east side.
