Awesome recovery, Grandpa Sherm's truck did it again. My wife and I stopped by the Rat Shack on Monday and bought merch. and saw the truck in person, it's a beast. We loved talking with Grandma Lolli, she's amazing, and lit up when she talked about Paul and the tow truck. We love the channel and the family interaction, keep up the great work.

Your video brought a flashback to the late 1950's . We lived in a rural area of New York State. An oil truck passed by our house and asked directions from my brother and I. We were10 and 12 years old and were very familiar with the terrain and short cuts. The road he was looking for was about a mile away accessing via an old farm road, otherwise it was about 5 miles on paved roads. We suggested the old farm road. We told him once he made it past the old gravel bank he had it made. He made it past the gravel bank to a straight away under high tension power lines. Unfortunately we forgot to factor in the spring thaw. The truck sank up to its axles. We told him we would get a couple of shovels to help dig him out. He told us not to bother and to clear out. A few hours later two large wreckers managed to extract him from the mud.

You should invest in stability mats and two small heavy duty air jacks! Then you could lift ,fill the hole, and place a couple planks under the wheels and roll it nice & easy! My truck is longer than yours,when I built it I made as many compartments as possible the top of my deck opens up with a ton of stuff hidden in it! It's a 1986 Dodge 1ton 4x4 with a live second axle now 6x6, I narrowed the entire truck from 93.5 inches to 74 inches wide so I could service the Jeep trails!

Why would he do any of that when he bumped it a couples times and it came out? That’s way more work than what’s necessary. It would’ve come out the second hit if Landon didn’t kill it.
@mikeslater62467 ай бұрын
@@smcox1991I'm with you on the second effort but I think the problem wasn't Landon on that second effort. He had enough gas it seemed if the front wheels had not piled up the sand like it did at about 7:00 into the video. By that time the front wheels were now having to try to either push through or climb sand that had built up behind them, unlike the first two trys where the sand wasn't in the way of the front wheels. Father and Son adjusted nicely.
