So sorry to hear about your grandmother. It must be so distressing to leave her lovely home and garden. I had wondered where you learned to garden, and now we know! If you are like me, you probably feel like weeping every time you are there now. I weep every time I drive by my grandmother's home. Luckily it isn't every day. I had to clean out the inside of the house in preparation for sale, but it was winter so no gardening. Time marches on.

Yes it is sad as she loved the garden and spent so much time in it. Unfortunately she has dementia and the garden had gotten too much! I’m sure someone else will love the garden again as she did😊🙂👍

I'm so sorry about your granny. I know she was very happy there surrounded by all that amazing nature! You're such a beautiful man. I really enjoy when you teach us about the shrubbery, plants, flowers, trees & of course, the little, busy pollinators. It's a pleasure to watch you work. Thank you, Mark, for All that you do. So nice you’re able to tidy up your grandmother’s garden, 👌unfortunately the circumstances are not so nice, she ending up in a nursing home, it must hurt to see a lovely garden going out of control in some area’s. Those brambles are really a pain in the butt, they can take over a border in no time. Let’s hope the smothered azaleas and rhododendrons will shine again. Cheers from the Netherlands 👋🏼

New subscriber and loved what you did in the garden as well as why. Your grandmother obviously loved her garden and I’m looking forward to seeing the next visit follow up 😊. My gran had rose cuttings from Chartwell in her garden, and my husband loves to garden here in So California. We have so many plumeria going as well as a couple of avocado trees covered in fruit this year. It’s a gift to be able to garden and enjoy it so. 😊

Messy and overgrown.. ? or a wildlife 5 star hotel. I’ve changed. From tidy to thinking about the wildlife. Obvs you just gave that a haircut 🙏 I’m in a similar situation like yourself.. house to keep tidy ( empty house insurance requirements) So cmon…get a bird bath up…and some plant saucers for the hedgehogs! 🙈

For saving your back for the future I managed to find this on here … highly recommended ”Backpack Chainsaw 535FBx | Husqvarna Canada”. Can be used for both motor saws and hedge clippers, just hang the tool you use on the devise and be able to be more precise but not have to carry the weight of the tool and you can keep your back straight. I see you bending slightly all the time. No wonder your back hurts. If anything you would not have to lose workdays and not spend money on painkillers, sick leave or chiropractors

You have all those wonderful tools. And you only used clippers. You could have had half the garden finished. I am not gonna watch anymore because you never ever finish a job. You half ass it and half to ge back many times. You should sit and watch what you do. One stick chop chop chop st a time.
