I'm so glad you got this one, it's the one I have this year. It DOES light up! The light is underneath the top, open the hatch on the top of the box and you'll see the light. You have to take out the plastic piece between the batteries and then there is a silver button on the outside of the top that clicks on and off.

yup came for these comments. As a Brit in london you find these all over for like £1-2 at markets and online, I've even been given these as a thank you for shopping from a particular store, unfortunately they are a specific look which is not mine but I suppose people still like them? So I have 2 theories as to why these are even in this advent calendar?! 1. they are literally a rip off. 2. Some very sneaky designer is selling these to v. rich people who don't know what they are? oh and 3. They are fake because the ones she found online were actually v. nice or the designer went cheap for the advent calendar! Personally I think all of the above and not only would I be pissed if I got these, I am actually pissed irl I hate thieves!

Those stone bracelets are the literally the cheapest actual semi-precious stone bracelets you could create. One looks like green adventurine chips and one matte rose quartz chips. They would sell for maybe 75 cents wholesale.

Dr Barbara Sturm is an orthopaedic surgeon, specialises in arthritis and feet. And on blogs I've read her skincare is just white label Babor, which is a German skincare brand. And once I compared both it was cheaper to buy the babor line. Hyaluronic acid is one of the cheapest ingredients to use in skincare, there's absolutely no reason to charge those prices. But people fall for the hype and buy it, it's just all a rip off. I've read the same with that 111skin as well, plus it was always in beauty subscription boxes., like boxycharm and ipsy.

But CT eyeshadow and the lipstick products , the silver earrings were cute, the bracelets really looked like $20 at a craft fair.... and skin care is good, but wow...those prices!!! 11:16 I had no idea 111skin was so expensive. I’ve gotten quite a few of their products in subscription boxes and gave them as gists for my son’s teachers and what not for Christmas or end of the year thank you gifts. This was only $375? Did I get that right? I could (would?) never pay the prices for these individual items, but I would buy this calendar to get them in a heartbeat. The bracelets, gloves, socks, and jewelry case alone would be nice. I honestly think I would use about everything in the calendar. I would give my daughter the red lipstick because she looks adorable in red. I would keep the lip palette because those are my colors. The butt candle? I would gift it to an old boss I had once. I’m allergic to wool so cashmere is not for me but I love a longer glove. I live in FL but I’m a military brat whose family is from MA. My grandmother used to knit us a hat with matching mittens for every Christmas. She always made the cuff long enough to cover the wrist but as an adult trying to purchase gloves when I have to go somewhere cold I hate that the cuffs are so short so love the length on the gloves. Also not bulky so could be layered under mittens for extra warmth.

For that AB cream you got in the first box, you can pry off the top and all the cream is in a plastic bag which you can then cut and get two or three days more use out of it. At that price we don’t want to be wasting a drop

you can get zipper, jewelry travel cases for as little as three dollars and the cost of the candle very inexpensive so the actual value of the non-skin care is pretty low. Technically. The sterling silver earrings cost is very very low maybe six dollars. The markup comes with the names and the perceived value.

I got this calendar 30% cheaper, and I am quite happy about it - I like most of beauty products besides Bader as it is too heavy for me and red lipstick - not my color to wear. Eyeshadows on the other hand are very wearable and neutral. I really love the gloves too. I got 2 pairs of earrings - by the mistake I guess - but ideal presents for Xmas 😃. Finally - the bracelets - I must admit once I tried them, surprisingly for myself I liked them and 😊they definitely feel more expensive than 10$ that everyone is saying here - the stones quality is somehow better. But maybe not hundreds of $ either.
