A beautifully written Tim/Chatham original. Late one night as they were wrapping up a writing session, Chris started playing the melody on the piano, which he knew would entice Tim, and they stayed up a few more hours writing the song, later fine-tuning it. Tim’s lyrics are always phenomenal, and he and Chris Chatham are a prolific songwriting duo.

Oh DJ, thank you. This is my first Christmas without my mother. I've been blocking off my feelings, just avoiding presents and cards and all my normal Christmas preparations. I've listened to this song and was 'fine'. I've listened to other reactions and was 'fine'. Your reaction broke thoke my wall and I'm typing this through the tears I've been needing. God bless you and all those you love this Christmas.

This is such a gorgeous song. Beautiful lyrics by Tim with great music by Chris Chatham. And they had their Patrons contribute photos for the montage in the background. I'm lucky enough to be in it. Rob was the perfect lead for this with his warm voice.

"...and now inside a wooden frame hanging on the wall, sweetly staring back at me the greatest gifts of all..." Tim is on hell of a songwriter, beautiful lyrics always and - in his serious songs there is always (at least) that one line that hits you like a freight-train.

This is such a beautiful song that Tim wrote. They asked us for our childhood photos. I sent one of my family in 1964. It makes me cry every time I see my little 4 year old self drift by behind Rob while singing these beautiful lyrics. 🎶🥰

All of the guys have wonderful voices, but I can’t imagine any of the other guys singing this besides Rob! His voice has so much heart and soul and it’s so clear and beautiful. It’s perfect for this song! Chris Chatham wrote the music and Tim wrote the lyrics with some help from Chris, I believe. Those two make a perfect songwriting pair, obviously. This is a very melancholy song, but beautiful, as well! It definitely hits us with all the feels!

I first heard this as Tim's rough demo version on Patreon almost a year ago and I loved it sung by him alone. This is beautiful done by Home Free, with Rob taking the lead, and is my favorite from the album, but I'll always love hearing the "original" too.

As my family waits to see if Dad makes it to 97 this weekend, this song hits right between the eyes. What I remember about Christmases growing up is Dad wrapping a box of bricks 2 weeks beforehand and leaving us to go crazy trying to figure out what the heck was so heavy. Or him wrapping Mom's mother's ring in box after box, ending with the box our new (1960s) TV came in. I remember the fun and very few of the presents. Tim got this one just perfectly, yet again.

This is my very favorite song from the entire Christmas album as it perfectly sums up a most important truth. Everyone ahead of me in comments already explained its origins. I've been waiting almost a year for Home Free to release this heartwarming video after first hearing Tim's demo version on his Patreon right after he and Chris Chatham finished writing it. You certainly captured all the meaning of the lyrics and the brilliance of the performance without knowing it was an original. Even better knowing, isn't it?

I love this one so much, and I think it's the old photos and video that meant it worked better at a squarer ratio. As well as the guys' family photos, some of them were sent in by fans - I can see my parents and my brother floating behind them part of the way through.

Nice reaction !! Home Free brings the sentimental emotion to come alive and we in our minds relive those days of yore and have expectations of the upcoming holidays. 🎄Their video presentations evoke emotions that enhance their vocal interpretations with a synergy that we have come to expect from them. Brilliantly done to the point you have a colorful imagination with their harmonies pointing the way. They provide an exquisite performance everytime. Thank You Home Free!! ❣💯💫
