I really wanted to record something coming from the heart and dedicate it to Roman, the builder of this magnificent instrument. I cannot hit steel with hammers but I can make attempts to hit it with my heart and fingers. This is to express my gratitude. All the best!

The term "handpan" was coined in the late 2000's referring to a family of steel instruments played by hand. The PANArt hang-born from a meeting between the steel drum and the indian ghatam in 2001-initially paved the way for handpans. There are now multiple handpan makers throughout the world.

This scale is a bit hard to play in a traditional way as the ding is not the root of the scale. It a C ding but this scale is actually rooted in E (which is the first note in the circle) :)
