What engine is in this?

This used a 2002 GEN II IRL engine: 3.5L, NA, Methanol, 12.5k+ Rev Limit, Motec Electronics, produced 700 HP with our Motec tune!

@@NixonMotorsports wow, i bet that feels plenty in that car! and i assume you dont use a period correct engine because its expensive to maintain and hard to find.

@@Madrat-tw2in It was not the correct engine as you mentioned due to the following - During the CART era engine manufactures did not sell teams engines they were all leased and once CART the series collapsed those engines where scrapped such as Mercedes, Toyota, Honda etc. This is why you do not see any or very few CART / Champ Cars due to engine issues. The only ones out there are cars that had Cosworth engines. So not so much the expense it was due to this reason. I hope that helps. thanks

Yea, agree. As you most likely know back then Cart had multiple engine mfg with engines in the field like Toyota, Mercedes, Cosworth etc and they all scrapped their engines except Cosworth. Too bad but fantastic cars both the Reynard and Lola. thanks for watching. cheers
