OMG, I thought it wasn't possible to love beavers any more than I do, but my heart just made a little more room for them upon seeing these 2 super cute water sausages do their thing. It's so obvious that Zach loves his job and loves Maple and Filbert.

That was fun! In the 22 years I volunteered there, I never saw an active beaver. Must have been my timing. I observed river otters for hours at a time with a view of them sleeping in their den.🙂

We live in a suburb that backs on the Christiana River in Delaware. We have beavers, which is wonderful. A couple of years ago the Paoa, who is huge, took down a large ailing tree. They keep the river edges neat and tidy!
