Rotating on hatches would be a decent quality of life improvement. I honestly think they should just make it so you take 0 damage when running through walls with Oryx. If they need to, they can slow down the recharge timer on his dashes if the 0 damage buff is too much.

being able to rotate on hatches is the most obvious buff it pains me. I can't even blame Ubisoft for thinking about it because I was an Oryx main for 2 whole seasons and I never thought about it. All I can say is yes please

That Oryx turn thing is brilliant. Especially for new players that don’t necessarily have map knowledge down yet. They wanna try his ability but don’t know what direction to face. There should also be maybe some option in the settings, like “advanced” vs “standard” drone deployment. Advanced let’s you grip any ledge you want. While Standard automatically re-orients you to a side that allows you to climb up automatically.

@@TheOriginalNyxie first of all, he’s like a 7 speed with his dash, and second, impact grenades and nitro cell counter shields, why do we need a whole operated dedicated to doing something that a secondary gadget can do, plus you can only use his ability to take down a shield op if the shield op is alone which is very rare and very easy to counter without Oryx

maybe a good buff to oryx is that you need to hold the ability button to dash, and the dash will end when his dash meter is empty or when you stop pushing on the ability button. But the one in the video is also a good buff

I honestly don’t think Oryx should have this change, and I don’t even think he needs a buff in the first place. For the change itself, the ability to use an absurd amount of small charges would not only allow stun locking for much longer amounts of time, but also being able to stun more people/break more walls in quick succession. The distance isn’t good either, because being able to easily and effortlessly cross such an immense distance as a defender in such little time is a bit too much, in my opinion. For the reasons he doesn’t need a buff, first, he is already the most mobile character in the game. He runs the fastest (by spamming charges), he can move up and down through hatches on-command, and even runs through soft walls on-command, making him an extremely good roamer or flanker. Not only all of this, but he can fully stun operators, including shield operators and even a deployed Montagne, and is extremely hard to hit during a charge. On top of this, he has good weapons and secondary gadgets just to compliment his abilities, even with good attachments.

What about the characters that are worse than average, too situational or simply bad? I can name a few: Dokkaebi, her gadget and weapons are poor. Blackbeard, his gadget is effectively useless. Warden, his glasses are too situational. Doc, his gadget is limited and difficult to utilize. Vigil, his gadget is does not do a good job of hiding him.

I had an idea for an operator. Another sniper (hooray! We really need those!) but he's got a really big gauss rifle that only has 5 shots total. He can shoot through reinforced walls, deployable shields, and mira windows. The shot would make a maverick torch sized hole in the wall, break the shield, or shatter the mira window. Hitting the body through an object deals 50 damage and knocks backward like airjab. Hitting head downs them and causes a concussed effect until they're revived. It would take a bit of time between shots, like he has to pull back a bolt, remove the cartridge manually, put in a new one, then close the bolt. He'd be useful for if they're trying to bandit trick.
