Couple of beginner's tips: You need about x5 space comparing to vanilla, so plan accordingly. You can daisychain all new buildings also. I hope you installed the mod on a different installation because as soon as the main game updates to UE5, the mod will probably break.

@@ItsBitz that's why the suggestion for different installation (update main game to 8, but not the modded one). You also avoid messing with your main saves (load an old save by mistake in this mod for example). And why not a playthrough? You already have a good start. When you finish with your current vanilla series, give it a try (up to tier 6 or 7 that is, The mod is not optimized past these tiers). By the way, in this mod, if you see MK-X tiers, it goes up to 3 for everything except belts

I've been playing this mod for a few weeks. It's a great idea of adding components to the different machines to improve them . Really happy with the mod and impressed with the modders. Nice video

Keep in mind you didnt see multiple unlockable tiers in 1&2 as theres a bar which you can move to "move" the milestone buttens basically a scroll bar

From what I've seen of this, it derives a lot from Angel's mods for Factorio, which, I did a bob+angel+AAI run recently so I guess I'd be familiar with the production paths lol

This is helpful. I wanted an overview of why I’d want to play this mod, and I stopped watching this video fairly early because what I was seeing wasn’t an interesting change to the base game. I haven’t played Angel’s mods for Factorio, but I at least have a sense of what they do.

Yeah, I was getting the same feeling by the end. That's a big "skip" for me, for pretty much that reason. I don't really find those overly complex mods with massive production chains all that compelling.

This mod is awesome, @Bitz! It actually has one of my favorite mods built in - the "Refined Power" mod! That mod-within-the-mod is what gave you those wonderful belt-fed biomass burners! So many other great new power buildings in that mod too -- all of which were brought into Satisfactory Plus! Looking forward to your playthru and/or exploration of this mod, Bitz, however and whenever you decide to continue on with it!

The names of the ores so far are directly lifted from Factorio's Angle's mod series. Eventually you'll probably need to do additional steps like purify by washing then acid leaching to electric winnowing to get more output or different ores in funky ratios like getting 2 iron ore, 1 copper and 1 crushed stone from sorted crushed steritite while sorted crushed spherite will get you 2 copper, 1 iron and one crushed while a floated chunk of steritite could get you 2 iron, 1 copper, 1 tin and 1 geod (quartz).

At least satisfactory has item sinks already. Handling of surplus items is one of the hardest parts of Angel imho.

@@Animaniac-vd5st That was the issue I had with my first playthrough of the original. Initially I read the awesome-sink as: 'if you mess up your ratios, and need to dispose of surplusses, we have a tool for that' So went for 'perfect ratios' immediately. It took a long time before I discovered 'foundations' were even an option. edit: not really the foundations, but the walls and decent wall-openings.

I wondered when you'd get to this mod. Prepare for you head to explode. The construction chains get insane. I've been playing with this for a little while now. Quick note, In the hub, the tier milestones have a scroll bar. You missed a couple milestones in Tier 1/2 when you were looking at them.

It is a plus mod indeed, my god, what an options you get from the beginning. A bit too much for a beginner, so I recommend this mod only for veteran players. There are so many options, you can get overwhelmed. But I love it that you tried this Bitz, great explanation.

Satisfactory Plus is bonkers good. It makes Satisfactory a brand new game and I would even love to see some of these concepts brought into mainline. Definitely not fully polished and "done", but considering that they're having to follow behind core game development, it's a phenomenal piece of work.

I've been using SF+ for the last couple of updates. It makes the game sooooooo much more complex. In the time it would normally take me to get to Tier 7 in vanilla would take me as far as Tier 4 at the very most in SF+.

its a realy crazy mod and they implant °Refined Power° too, this two combos makes a new start realy nice. You get a steampower that works with biofuel, its brings 150 mw at start.

TIPs: This mod requires a strategic hands-on-machinery play style. REMEMBER to scroll Tier milestones 1 - Mining, Crushing, and smelting can be done local then transported to factories 2 - Factories should be designed for batch processing so as to reuse machines for each metal type 3 - Research priority is Solid Biofuel then work towards Smart Splitters which automate batch-run materials

I'm gonna give this a try. Luckily I bought the game twice, once on Epic when it first hit early access then again on Steam when it went to Steam. I'll use the Epic install to run this mod and Steam for my vanilla (with mods but the game as the devs made it).

4 constructors! 2 for wood, & 2 for leaves! Merge the solid biofuel lines into 1 line! Split off some into a container for use in the chainsaw 😉 (you'll need it)! The rest is sent into biofuel generators! You can switch the constructors to process creatures as needed!

Satisfactory needs a mod that makes factories a lot more efficient. You need way too many machines to produce little. You are way too small and machines are way too big. Meaning it takes a tedious work of making a serie of the same things just to get the basics. This is where Factorio and Dyson Sphere excel.

I've wondered from the first time I played Satisfactory: Why do biomass burners not have an input? You can automate turning wood and leaves into biomass and then solid biomass, and you need like 8~10 burners to get a basic production going before you hit coal. Yet you still have to manually fill all those burners...

it's specifically to drive you to explore and push to coal, because it's annoying to load manually, which makes you push to automation (you do the same thing with make-by-hand in tier 0), and also forces you to explore your surroundings to obtain, and see a bunch of things like sulfur, quartz, etc.

the only two things I like are: - automated biomass generator - double output for miner so the 780/minute limit isn't an issue the rest seems to me like pointless overcomplication by the way, in the original game you could already create and burn biofuels in a fully automated manner, which was kind of an interesting reason to unlock the new tech... so I'd say the original game might even have done this better.

There were several places were you failed to scroll the tier 0, 1, and 2 display to show everything that is available at that tier. Automated Biomass Generators already exist in the Refined Power mod.
