This Part of my life feels terrifying. The reason for this is that I have actually decided to make Manila Philippines my home. And NO, I am not just saying that for the views and engagements. This is for real. The last time I felt this way I packed a suitcase and moved to Honolulu Hawaii for 2,5 years. That time it was because of education. This time it's for love, family, and business. The reason it feels terrifying to move abroad is because I have experience in settling down in a foreign culture. It requires a tremendous amount of courage and persistence. You need to allow for many frustrations, changes, and acknowledgments. From learning the language to settling into the systems. This video marks the beginning of that journey and I am ready to give it everything I have. You think I can do it?

I am originally from England and have lived here now for 25 years, also 4 years in Australia and 15 years in Hong Kong. Philippines is my home, I married Jane, a Filipina, in 1999. Once Filipinos realize you are not a tourist or a short stayer and know that this is your home they will love and respect you more. BTW not sure about the blond hair.

Norway is still the best to raise a family in terms of benefits with free education, child subsidy, health care system , clean environment, modern transportation system, high paying job although taxes are high and expensive but it's worth the benefits. (As per my relatives living n Bergen Norway as nurse).

Wow, that's a tough decision you made! Don't worry too much about the language. If you live in Manila, almost everyone speaks English. It's in the rural provinces that a lot of people do not speak English at all. I have been following you two since your trip to Rio de Janeiro but I watched Ave even before that when she used to travel alone. Ave, I love your new hair style. But Martin's hair is too "gold" I think. I prefer the original. Take care always and be safe.

I lived there for 2 1/2 years in the process of settling into a new culture and country can take a toll on people.
