Thanks for the info on the Legato page turner. I’m considering it because I use OnSong for my chordie songs, and GoodReader for PDFs (amongst a few other apps). Funny, but at first look, I hoped it would be an Ed Sheeran looper clone. Or a midi/bluetooth device for Loopy Pro. Heehee. Maybe someday.

hahaha... thats funny. it certainly has 'the look' right? for a dedicated loopy pro pedal, check out 'RetroLoopUSA' on Instagram!

Thanks. Always useful to find out about bits of kit I've never come across. I don't need a page turner as such but I'm wondering if I could hack the BT receiver software on my Linux box to translate various key actions. As for the WS-70...already got a pair and they're excellent.
@JohnPaulMusicUK4 ай бұрын
Glad it was helpful! Don’t know if it’s hackable.. but for £30 could be worth a go.

@@JohnPaulMusicUK I'm just assuming as it works with different document reader type apps it's sending out generic keycodes such as Pg Up/Down, Left/Right cursor, Enter, Spacebar whatever. I ise a Linux desktop and I can probably "plug in" a key mapper app to convert codes received from the pedal in to any key codes I need. So not hacking the pedal but just modifying codes received and then fed to desktop applications. Anyway, yes you've shown in the video it's got a decent build quality so for 30 quid it's on my wishlist for future purchases.

Are you sure this will turn pages on the iPad Books app? I’ve tried two other page turners with assurances from the manufacturers that they would work but they didn’t. It seems that they were designed to work with fee charging apps. Thank you.

Does it control LoopyPro and KZbin videos or is it just a page turner? Thanks for your videos!

@akl1960 onsong themselves have a list of known pedals it works with but it’s the same protocols as a blue board or Airturn. 👍 onsongapp.com/docs/features/foot-pedals/supported/

can you customize it? pro tools record activation is actually the 3 on the number pad, so enter and space bar won't work
@JohnPaulMusicUK4 ай бұрын
good shout. unfortunately you cant reprogram the pedal but you could change the command on the pro tools? Alternatively this is one you can completely re-program - but its a different price point. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWTaq4uNYsSagc0si=pRXiimKPEgjavf5G

I dont actually get the point of this its just replacing a mouse you use with your hand or your finger to swipe a screen with a pedel with your feet --- reminds me of my mate buying a digital pen and screen when it first came out (he likes his gadgets)....i said yeah like pen and paper then? or my other mate that bought a remote control car sterio... but hey ho it can make a good door stop i suppose

@@byromtaylor6482 It's just that often an instrument player is quite busy on both hands when page turn comes, and it's handy (or footy if I may) that you don't always need other person to switch pages for you. Of course it's great to know pieces by heart but that's usually not always gonna be the case.
