Yesterday I was cutting a 2X4 with a hand saw and not my compound miter saw and thought back to when you told the audience to keep your finger on the side of the handle to steady the blade and also using the blade as a straight edge or an angle. I actually enjoyed using a manual tool as everything I have is power tools and cordless ones now. The old days and ways were still enjoyable but projects took longer. Looking forward to your next upload!

A tip from Mr Paranoid, a brand new clean can is gonna be suspicious. It should look in the same condition as everything around it .Cruddy it up actually drop some oil and grime on it, some greasy finger prints ,a cracked smudged up cap.and always put it back in the exact same position and place ,dust rings are a give away .

Add some weight inside the can, preferably something that prevents the valuable content from shaking loosely around in the can. Cans like this have been around for at least 20 years, so some thieves are aware of them. Also, add a bit of something below the nozzle that looks like some "drips", etc.

My mom used to play these games but it’s terrible for heirs when they pass away and you don’t know which can they’ve hidden money in, so don’t put more money in these cans than you can afford to lose. I’ve worked in wildfires and highly recommend a fireproof safe that is bolted to a concrete floor - not the wooden floor in your closet. If your house burns down, thieves will see the safe and if it’s not bolted into concrete they’ll just walk off with it. Same with burglars.

Thank you Leah. I'd like to see you review and demonstrate the repair kits for incandescent string lights. The one that you can check the bulbs, it gives the tone for following the strand but mostly the feature that uses the shunt in the bulbs to relight a strand. It sounds very useful for a prelit tree where one section has gone out. I've used the LED version and that one works pretty well.

I have one of these cans from decades ago ... Tab! It's not made anymore, but I still use it (although, I should use a more modern can). There are so many different can safes that you can choose which is best for you. A 12oz can of Tab feels like a 12 oz can. You could also make your own if you can figure out how much weight you need to add. This has been a thing for 30 years. Tab stopped producing about 30 years ago.

Be sure to add plenty of weight, along with the valuables/cash you put in the can; otherwise, the can won't "act" like a real can if someone moves it. (Try to make the weight about the same as a can of the real product would be.) For the DIYers: I've made a few of these fakes over the years out of various cans. It's best if you use a side-cutter can opener. Be sure to use some kind of "stickum" such as Threadlocker to keep the bottom from detachig itself: use only 2 or 3 VERY small drops of the weakest Threadlocker.

Hey Leah, I have your vlogs in heavy rotation. So I not to miss anything. I’ve learnt so much. I’ve always been a DIY. From back in the days with Bob Vela. In this old house Sunday morning at 6am. A 7 year old girl watching him instead of cartoons. My question is about drills. I live in a condo and I’ve always had trouble drilling into steel frames to hang my curtains. I know it’s possible bcuz there are previous holes in the frame. But just not where I need them. I was told I needed a hammer drill and set out to purchase one. Until I realized I already had one. But it didn’t do the job. Is there a certain type of drill that I need to buy to do this kinda job? I hate defeat that way I keep coming back to this.

I have a unrelated question, but it's a homeowner question. Due to the time of year I have had a mouse in my ducts and couldn't trap it. I now have a smell coming up from my vents so I know the little thing died in there somewhere. Without incurring a tremendous cost to hire someone to cut up my ducts to find it how do I get rid of the smell? I am older homeowner and not able to stand for long periods of time myself. Don't know if this is a topic for your channel but thought I'd ask since a lot of older homeowners have this same issue.

That's a good idea but the price is nuts! Take any can and remove the bottom with a normal gear wheel can opener. Empty it and clean it out. Now put your wad in the can and stuff a paper towel or sponge in the bottom. Problem solved.
