The public in Japan is on another level, the little I've seen are Babymetal and idol shows like Love Live! and they also have a lot of interaction with the public, on this side of the world you only see people recording on their cell phones, its a shame

Yes I've been in one of the Japanese concert. No one taking their phone out is literally life changing, make the whole experience so immersive which is why you should participate in a live concert anyways

Despite being considered one of the world breaking songs of 2023 having charted at no. 7 at Billboard Global 200 (highest rank of any Japanese artist so far) and no. 1 on the Global excl. US, "Idol" did not make any significant impact on the US singles charts or in any European singles charts, which is unfortunate. It was Yoasobi's really first international breakthrough though, having charted outside of Japan in South Korea, Singapore and Vietnam for the first time. In November, the duo will open for Coldplay on their two Japan shows at Tokyo Dome as part of the Music of the Spheres World Tour. Before that, Yoasobi will perform the USA for the first time in Pasadena, CA in August.
