Like some others, this is also my story almost exact. My ex 8yrs ago was going through a divorce when we started dating, against my better judgment of not waiting until it was official. After a while, his now ex-wife decided not to go through with it, came at me, and accused me of trying to break up their family. She used their child to manipulate the situation. I chose to release myself from the relationship and drama (in 2016). But it was very difficult. I moved on with my life, had a child, and moved back to my home state 2 yrs ago after a break-up with child's father, where my ex lives. A few months ago, my ex showed up at my door. He's felt bad about the situation every since, knew I had moved back, but was hesitant to see me. He says he never stopped thinking about me. Wants to be friends but afraid and not ready for a relationship. I still love him but also open and not denying myself new love if not with him.
