Thanks so much! I think there's definitely an argument to be made for more locations. Tbh though I think the absolute best build of Ruby Steel probably would run less pirates since there's ultimately some better options for certain slots.

Thanks so much! I think Jim Hawkins is definitely interesting but & good but he is fairly situational which is why I went with a 2 of. If you increased location count you could probably also increase jim count.

It's my pleasure honestly, I've been teaching people to play card games for over 20 years & one thing I've learned is that a good deck is not always a good deck if people aren't clear on how it's supposed to work. Also, I feel like deckbuilding is very subjective & playstyles vary so some cards I like may not be the best option to others. If you know what their purpose is you can make an educated decision on substitutions

They can definitely be interesting to play with, there's times they are better as ink when your opponent has board control. If you have a pretty clear board on there side or you have threats you think they would rather deal with it can be the optimal time to get a location down.

@pablo518 there is not currently, the proxies are a supplemental giveaway since they are far less expensive than the other things I typically give out. You can always enjoy them casually with friends...also if you own the cards most stores will let you still play with proxy replacements. This has been true even in some larger magic tournaments because some of the cards are so expensive.

What would you play if you didn’t have access to 5 drop beast

Solid ask, you really need the card draw so I'd focus on something else that will let you do that. Alternatively, cards that could make your opponent discard could also give you the leg up but this color combo doesn't have much in that regard. That's the toughest part with Ruby/Steel is the card advantage other decks may get. Playing 4 AWNW instead of 2 & probably another of the 5 cost inkable hook as a way to sing them. I would say play the shift hook but he is also uninkable & there's alright a lot of those here.
