Honestly, with the Steelers style of football, they just need compitent and speedy receivers around Pickens. You put Austin on the other side and let Roman Wilson play the slot(Hines Ward mode). You have 2 very good RBs and a good TE room. Ease Fields in, because they are a running team, and let the O-line develop. Having Smith as OC helps as well. Fields looked really good last season for having one weapon or two and a bad line. Everyone says he can't read defenses... try to when your line sucks, your one weapon is covered and you're running for your life. Plus, the Bears management and coaching are brutal. Fields and the Steelers will gel and because of their defense, they will be in most games. Sometimes, too many superstars can create a toxic environment, and Aiyuk is complaining in San Fran.

Jefferson and Chase are only 2 nfl wr's worth first rd picks, yes it would be multiples for them . Aiyuk is not even 3rd best player on his team on offense

IMO, the idea that the Steelers offense ‘needs’ to get Aiyuk in order to take opposing defense’s focus off of George Pickens is unnecessary. Therefore, I think it’s unnecessary for Omar to waste valuable draft capital and cap space to sign an outside receiver. I also think it’s premature to assume that the WR group they currently have can’t be successful. What is hardly ever taken into account is the fact that Steelers’ OC, Arthur Smith intends to use two TE sets, play action and he likes to run the ball. On paper the offense is dramatically better than last year’s, especially at the QB position.

Cut back on defensive spending. The league is geared towards the passing game. They want ratings. If you want a high powered offense, most of the money shoud be invested in your QB, WRs and OL. Notice how the Steelers "great defense" gets shredded in the playoffs every year. Great offense beats great defense in todays NFL. Can't live in the past.

GP has to first earn that amount… we as fans are better off letting the GM be the GM. Fans need to stop playing GM, it’s above your pay grade. And being upset about the Steelers getting better makes no sense. Trading for Aiyuk would only benefit GP by helping him get open and not be doubled every single play
