Thanks Alex for filming Qormi. I requested you to film Qormi many months ago and finally here it is. I see Qormi as beautiful, charming and rustic on top of that its from where my husband's family came from. His grandpa, grandma, aunts and auncle used to live in these narrow streets close to St George parish. Next year will come for a vist so my children will get to know their roots and heritage.

Hey Alex, Deepika here. From the video it does look like the place is a little worn out and rustic. But yes, the place still looks well connected and affordable. Thank you for sharing your insights. You are a true help for people who are away and trying to understand what Malta has to offer in terms of lifestyle and expenses. Kudos to you and your team for making such selections for videos and putting in the efforts to be as honest as possible. My husband is currently residing in Santa Venera. I will surely ask him to visit Qormi. Great work again 😊

Hi Alex I am from Qormi and I can say that unfortunately your video does not give a true picture of Qormi because it only shows one area, the part near St Sebastian church moving through the street in front the church until you reached Victory Square. That is all outside the old town, namely the vast area of St George's Parish Church and its surrounding streets. There are a lot of small historic churches in Qormi called Kappelli, statues in the old streets and old buildings with the beautiful Maltese balcony, most of them made by my father George Sammut nicknamed "ta' Mira", who was one of the most famous traditional carpenters in Qormi and who passed away in 2019. To give some insight of the part of Qormi that you left out, I am putting below a link to a short documentary that I made in Maltese, mostly shot at Qormi, showing the beautiful facades of buildings in the St George's parish church area. I would suggest you visit again that part to see for yourself and to correct the wrong impression of Qormi. This is the link showing Qormi - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHKZiKFvjKugq7M If you want to watch more of my videos please go to: kzbin.info Regards Joseph Sammut KZbin: Sharemytravel www.sharemytravel.wordpress.com

ALEX STEPS ON AN ICE-CREAM IN OLD QORMI VILLAGE/MALTA 🍫😂. In the old days most good bakers all over Malta, ALL hailed from QORMI. Alex, In that hot weather I'd be going somewhere near the coast as no sea- breeze there☀😰 /🌊🍃😊. However, your great effort is much appreciated🚶☀🎥 👏 👏 👏. THANKS for sharing Alex 🙏. (NB : One has to keep in mind that Gran Canaria is TOTALLY dedicated to Tourism - over 5 million/year. Also, the reason why hospitality workers in Malta are mostly 'foreigners' is because the pay, as you are aware, is scandalously "€ow" - most locals won't do it. Case of Cheap €abour?? 🤔 ) Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

I disagree with you on this video Alex! I'm from Qormi and I can assure you that you didn't see half of the place as its enormous for a town in Malta! In fact you've only seen a small percentage of it and the part of the town which I admit it's nothing special. If you go near St. George's church you'd be amazed by the beauty of the town houses there and I can assure you that none of them are in a bad state. Instead all of them are restored and there's even a Boutique hotel! :) places such as Msida for eg are in a worse state then Qormi for sure! And you forgot to mention the modern side of Qormi where Pavi is as well :)

@tikkuboy2 жыл бұрын
there are no factory outlets selling branded apparel at lower prices. November is almost end of hot season and temperatures in the low 20's C. Winter in Malta is mild and rarely goes below 10C. The average building is not winter friendly and it generally feels very cold inside.

Hello Alex ,,Malta is a very small country and we are already over populated,our hospital is already very small to handle, if we need a surgery we have to wait for years , and you dont even start showing Hal Qormi.Hal Qormi is one of the biggest village with a population of 18,000 ,2000 of them are foreigners, we can't handle more we ve had enough .If someone wants to visit like a tourist you are more than welcome but to stay no thanks, please ,please Alex stop advertising OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY to the foreigners to live here, Most of them already bring us a mess in any type ,lower our wages the way we live how we keep our country clean and so on.I am very sorry to say that but we can't breathe anymore in this country that's why some of our local people are building more but as i always hear you say about that it is disgusting for all this concrete. Stay safe God bless you 🤔😊💜
@AlexinMalta2 жыл бұрын
My dear Anna❤️ i trust you understand that the core of the issue is not my KZbin channel. Foreign people from the Scandinavian countries who are CONTRIBUTING in the Maltese economy, are not affecting your wages as they are hired to speak other language for the Scandinavian gaming companies based in Malta that are contributing to the economy. From the otherside the cheap labour that is imported in Malta is the one that affected your wages to be low, ALL because the cheap labour is paying thousands of euros to move to Malta and the employers are greedy to pay cheap labour. The landlords are greedy to charge high rents and contractors are greedy to keep on bulding so they can sell/rent more and more and more! Visas for cheap labour mainly non-eu are issued by the authorities themselves and they need to pay attention more into who they let in who they dont! Cheap labour eventually will stop coming to Malta, as now more than ever non-eu are used as modern day slaves. I would not comment further on this topic as i will be doing a dedicated video on this, stay tuned❤️
