Radhaballavi also known as radhaballabhi are tasty dal puris. These soft pooris are stuffed with a spiced dal filling. Basically Luchis {pooris made with all purpose flour (maida)} are stuffed with dal filling.The dal used is either urad dal or chana dal. In weddings generally chana dal is used. It is a popular street food snack in bengal and served with Dum aloor. during durga pooja also radhaballavi is made.
Mawa samosa is a delicious Indian sweet with a crispy outer crust, stuffed with a sweet mawa filling. Mawa samosa is a festive sweet traditionally made on occasions like Diwali, Holi etc.The crispy outer shell of mawa samosa is made of plain flour and is deep fried till crispy. The crunchy shell cracks in the mouth and the sweet and rich filling imparts a unique satisfying taste to this sweet.
The filling for samosa is made of mawa or khoya mixed with dry fruits & sugar. Mawa is a common ingredient used in many Indian sweets, made by heating milk in a pan continuously till it thickens to a solid state.
Chandrakala is a dessert from Bihar, similar to gujia.The outer covering is made of flour and the stuffing is traditionally made using dry fruits like raisins, coconut, almonds, and cashews, along with khoa, semolina, cardamom, sugar, and pistachio.Chandrakala gets the name from the shape. Chandrakala is Chandran means Moon, so its half-moon shape.

Radhaballavi and aloor dum are origins of the Nabadip area of West Bengal where the Vaishnavite movement started. Radhaballavi and aloor dum are eaten particularly during ekadashi, rath yatra and janmashtami - hence the name. Chandrakala seems to be chandrapooli and eaten during autumn and winter in Bengal and fall in the of pua, pooli, pithey group of sweets.

@@RashmiNayak18 bilkul sahi kaha aapne! Pantua origin is from a humble halwai (moira in Bengali) in a small town of North Bengal, Phulbari. Pantua which was given the rounded shape in Kolkata and called golap jamun (like the fruit) which rest of India called gulab jamun. I know about pantua origins at Phulbari because of my father's posting at Bagdogra.
