Thanks for watching! In the next video in the series, Cassie and I spend half of a day wandering around the Las Vegas strip. Definitely not my usual kind of hangout but still fun! We then find an amazing campsite out in the Mojave Desert. Side note: I'm going on a weeklong trip to southern Utah (again) next week, and I'm going to be making a handful of tips/tricks-type videos. What topics would you like me to make a video about? I already plan on doing videos about my camera gear, my drone gear, and how I find campsites. Finally, have you checked out my latest fishing video yet over on my second channel? It's my favorite one yet: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2a5eYB_jbaGZ6M Thanks again, Tristan

That gnarly old stump, is referred to by the locals as the elephant. The footholds are called Moki steps and are considered to have been created by early Native Americans. The video sign is there to deter vandals from spray painting and etching over the petroglyphs in that arch behind the camera, across the creek. Each year a group of locals gathers to clean up the mess, in that "cave", from the previous seasons "artists" ☹️.

Hi Scott. The Elephant is a great name for it! I've come across lots of Moki steps in my travels, and I don't think those are authentic Moki steps. I think those are just modern steps carved in the rock. They are much larger and deeper than any Moki steps I've seen.

Tristan: Cassie is definitely "A KEEPER" if she is more than willing to climb without assistance whenever possible. I love the places you travel to in your explorations. I've also patronized the pie shop if it on the hillside in St George.

BTW, that first trail in the video is one of my faves. I've done it many times. It's called Red Reef Trail, Cottonwood Canyon at Red Cliffs National Recreation Area. It gets a ton of traffic in the spring and summer months! Also, you mentioned the "large cave" (St. George trails); it is definitely worth seeing! It's in Snow Canyon just before you pay the entrance fee (so it's free). It's called Scout Cave. And while you're already doing that trail, you might as well do the adjoining trail to Johnson Canyon to see the awesome arch and a very peaceful gorgeous red rock canyon where it ends. All these trails, the car direction to get there, and the trail map itself are all available for free on Alltrails.com

Great video. I didn't know about the concrete arrows or the hike that took you there, ill have to check it out. Very pies 🥧 👌 so yummy. BTW about halfway to veyo pies from your last little hike there are ponds called sandcove. Check out the vortex trail. Such a beautiful hike and if you catch it right there is a waterfall at the beginning. And chuckwalla trail right as your leaving st. George on your way to up to veyo is worth going to as well.

St George has been polluted with radiation from the nuclear bombs that were detonated by the government near Las Vegas and unfortunately for the citizens (down winders) who live there have suffered extensively from the radiation, many losing their lives because of it. I don’t know if that radiation is able to interfere with a drone’s ability to perform or not. I found it interesting that your drone wouldn’t perform which reminded me of the radiation that still exists there today. An interesting detail about the effects of the radiation on many people who were in the vicinity of the testing facility making a movie (genghis khan) with John Wayne and over 200 extras in the movie. After the filming was finished and a few years passed…it was discovered that of the 200 people who were extras in the movie that over 100 of them died of cancer which was linked to the nuclear radiation fallout…which is the same radiation that killed John Wayne…and no doubt including the heavy amount of smoking cigarettes that he smoked…according to his son Patrick Wayne who shared the details that I’ve mentioned here. Beautiful video and thanks for sharing it with us! ❤

I used to fish, a Lot when in graduate school. It is incredibly cruel to do that later in life that I found. We are supposed to be the care taker of earth that we created, All creatures created whether with a "soul" or not is part of the consciousness that we are. There suffering is OURS. Unfortunately most of the people have no clue what the rule of the GAME is, manipulated by the Vlash, Maitre to lower down the vibratory rate of "our" "world'.
