This place looked Abandoned until I did a Garden Rescue | Amazing Result

Here we are again, folks, back for the 3rd and final time. It has been an epic journey on this overgrown yard cleanup, and the finale may be the best episode yet. This one has everything from mowing, pruning, trimming, rubbish removal and I even threw in some power washing at the end. The owner actually told me that the fruit trees, that were still in their original pots, hadn't really been touched in 20 years! And by looking at this jungle, it could possibly be true. Now, I know some of you are going to think I killed the fruit tree, but it needed a hard prune. It won't kill the tree, and it will be much nicer after a season or two. Anyway, let's get stuck in a get it repaired for this homeowner in need. I spent around 13 hours on this back section, which included 4 trips to the landfill. Generally, it takes around an hour for a roundtrip trip to the landfill and back. This is part 3 of 3.

Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 4 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs!
Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
Q: What happened to Brent?
A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of bins?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I would say it's because Australia had a temperate to tropical climate, and therefore it doesn't matter that much if they are outdoors. To me though, it seems a bit inefficient to have them outside in Tasmania with a temperate climate (coldish for 3 - 4 months per year). But that is industry standard down here 🤷‍♂️
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so now I work alone.
Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
1. Currently, I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k on a good ride on mower.
2. I don't have anywhere to store it.
3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride-on in there.
4. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering we always take the green waste away.
5. I will get one as soon as all of the above are solved.
Q: What happened to your workers?
A: Because the work is so hard and I expect high standards, most have quit over time. The only exception so far is Nick!
Q: What type of ladders do you use?
A: The large one is a Gorilla Adjustable Platform 150kg and the small one is a Gorilla Mighty 19. They are both adjustable.

I love lawn care videos! But, you go so far above what I'm used to seeing. Most I've watched here in the US don't clean up and repair small things that make a big difference in the appearance and safety of a property. It is hot summer here in Alabama! I wish you were here to clean my next door neighbors place! I want to clean it myself but Im 70 and he is 30. His brother lives with him, also. Both are young and strong so it wouldn't be right, somehow, for me to do what they need to do!😂😂😂

I remember liking your HIPA ad before. Really appreciate your tackling this place. Brian, of Top Notch, recently noted he loves doing yard cleanups that have underlying "good bones". When you did the front and found decent landscaping underlying it, it gave hope that this place could again look good. I liked your choice of pruning on "the fruit tree". It is short, for elders that could not reach or climb high to pick fruit. You are regaining form, space, light and working away to your own high standards. At one point, a snare drum pattern in the music sounded like an "advance" battle rhythm, while you were ultimately re-finding a planting bed. Nice gate and step repair skills. Extras that are ultimately part of a "done" yard, good looking, safe to use. You made that step safer than it originally was designed. Thanks for your thought to make the deck both safe (non-slip and deterioration driven back) and good looking, with power washing. (This is becoming pretty spectacular, you went on to the shed and other paving.) Enjoyed the Before and After photos. Wonderful work.

You even mended the gate and the patio steps; gave me a lump in my throat, so endearing. This was a tough job, what with the brambles and thick vegetation growing around that patio platform and steps, not to mention clearing the yard of debris beforehand; and I know how time consuming jet spraying wood and concrete can be. It was an excellent job, and very well done. I loved this video; tho you were doing all the work, I found it peaceful and relaxing to watch. Thank you!

Every part of this project had me thinking we had seen the worst the place had to offer, but no, it continued in every episode and every part of the property!!
