I have an idea. You could cut up all the wood into logs to burn. It's firewood, so don't get a dump truck to hall the pile of logs away. Make a big wood pile. Have a fireplace and chairs for a nice firepit area for recreation and relaxation. Start a landscaping video series for the cabin. You could also have a big deck building series. Then, you could have build a driveway series for your YT channel. Keep your YT channel running for a long time building your channel. BTW, I love your channel, thanks.

I had 3 acres of big fir trees. I thought I’d give this same chipper a shot. Tried to use it one time and threw it up on Facebook marketplace for sale. Way more work than it’s worth. Cut the stuff up into firewood and whatever was too small for firewood went in burn piles.

This chipper reminds me of the stuff my dad used to buy from sears for me to do chores around the house when I was a kid. Always stalling out and always having to baby the machines to get them to work. I always swore to myself I was going to buy better stuff when I grew up that wouldn't break down all the time.

Hello good sir and Happy Monday. I enjoyed seeing what the chipper could and could not do. It is helpful to know this stuff. 🙂 I was thinking after "a few months later" the wood chipper spit out the water, coughed, spit and said "ok let's try it again" Big smile. I kept thinking of Tim Alan's early stand up "it needs more power...so I rewired it" Things are coming along nicely and TY for being so generous and kind in your comments. I support your reasoning behind chipping vs burning and all that jazz. It is always a blessing to watch your videos and TY for that time and effort. God bless you all! ~John 👍

You could use those long limbs as a temporary perimeter fence. They will decompose but will add beneficial nutrients back in the soil. Another good idea is to cut and stack them Lincoln log style. Then inject mushroom spores in them. You’d have an endless supply of mushrooms. Firewood is also a good idea cut and split, then sell it for a profit in the fall and winter seasons. Love watching your videos.

Harbor Freight gotten cheap! I bought mine 8 years ago and it came in a wooden crate. I keep it covered with a cheap Harbor Freight tarp to keep water out of the Chipping area. The longer limbs you have to hold on to so the engine won't stall. It does everything they say and more. Love mine! I also mounted mine to a pallet so I could move it around with the forks of my tractor.

@davekauffman87274 ай бұрын
Was looking forward to a bonfire, that would make for a better video than just relocating all that wood. Or, you do have a fireplace, though it is rather small. I'd cut that wood up, split it, and have something to burn when the weather cools down. I like the cabin, you've done a good job turning it into something nice, I'm eager to see what more you have planned. The tongue and groove lumber you're using upstairs is something that I hope you do all around the downstairs too, it looks great, gives me ideas for a similar project I might be getting.

For the $600 you spent on that tiny chipper, you could have rented something that can easily do 12" diameter for two days, rather than buying something so tiny and letting its blades rust for months and struggling with 2" branches. Also, the number of times we almost watched you lose a hand by grabbing a stick that was stuck, or reflexively sticking your hand in the top was both amusing and cringy. Please be more careful.
