Yea, I first learned to fly the heli without pedals. Took me at least 3-4 h. After I bought the pedals to spice the game up, I needed another 4 h to control the heli again. Oh boy, it was worth it.

Google's definition for jettison is "[to] throw or drop (something) from an aircraft or ship" so when you select something for jettison and then hit the jettison button, it will drop it off the side of the plane. This is useful if you need to evade a missile, save fuel, and a variety of other scenarios. Once you've fired all of a certain munition, you can jettison the pylon the weapon was attached to in order to improve the handling of your aircraft by losing dead weight.

How do you use your head to aim the aim9+ missiles

If you go into the equipment menu on your MFD and select the aim9+/AIRST and then change it to head track mode it will follow wherever your looking. In the same menu you can toggle trigger press mode (this isn’t exactly the name, but it’s something like that) so that when you’re looking at a target and have a signal acquired, pressing the trigger will lock the sights on that target. Once you’ve got that target locked up, a press of the B button (assuming you’re using a Quest 2) will fire a missile

This game is called VTOL VR. It’s a masterpiece that’s $20-30 on steam normally and has to be played with PCVR. I use the Oculus Quest 2 headset with a USB C to USB 3 cable connecting to my gaming computer. The computer I use is a prebuilt, link is in the description :)

@@SpicyGavino if you have the funds, high fidelity modules: they are literally one to one with real life so if you can fly the hornet/ mig21 etc etc in the game you could in real life, you can operate real weapons and work together in large multiplayer campaigns where the maps are the size of the entire Black Sea and Georgia + some of Russia, or low fidelity models like the su27 , which still take some learning but don’t have clickable cockpits of the real life systems If you ever get into it, or have any questions, I’m by no means a pro but I’ve been playing for a couple years now and could help with some stuff We should fly sometime
