The ping difference through the call was kind of bad still tbh, as on the vid you will see him ask and then a second later a response, but it was instant on my end

yeah honestly, both games were absolute stomps, and there were a couple things he corrected during the game but there was still a lot of value from the vod reviews and the pre game introduction where he found lilysua playing this. I didn't realise this was a legit strat koreans played until then and I've been studying a lot of lilysua replays to refine it.

Whats funny is I play this EXACT build in mid. I was a jungle main that moved to mid and took shyvana. It actually does work very well!! EDIT: I dont always take demolish, depends on the lane matchup

Okay im 7:40 in and reading the "snooze fest"... I would like to just say that sometimes we need to see how people make decisions about the most insignificant things. While I know many will find this useless, beginners will definitely benefit from observing the posturing needed to secure the early level gold. The "blow em up" build is always fun on shyv but if you need to be beefier without losing too much damage go for an AP bruiser build with riftmaker. It's hella good

I managed to brake my teeeerible MMR curse and started to actually climb out of elo hell with Shyvana mid. I also go first stike and build NHarvester. Shyvana can hold lane against pretty much anyone and is tremendously useful for objectives, and she scales like crazy.

Given option to walk into dragon fight, or walk somewhere else and then tp to the dragon fight, I'll always just walk. After the fight you can judge if you need to be somewhere on the map fast, and its easier to position well by just walking unless you have some crazy flank wards.

I easily got back into gold for split 2 already and I’m headed for plat. About to be gold 3, thank you so much for this video and all your many others. For some reason this build and playstyle hit the magic switch for me and I can playcall 1v9 to win “lost” games way more often than I used to. Getting 28+lp gains now feels good.

I legit loved this concept and I’m absolutely learning how to carry with it by practicing. Nashors 3rd or 4th is ridiculous at deleting turrets. The siege and anti siege is ridiculous with dragon form, and let’s my team either clean up all the kills or force multiple enemies to back if they survive somehow.

The one big hole that I’ve had as Yorick in top is completely solved with Shyvana AP mid. I feel like my spacing and mindset for Neace macro is leading to turning around pretty rough games where my team is behind.

only issue with that item is that most of your damage against champs comes from E not autos, since if you're in auto range it's usually risky. however if you learn to space with empowered Q and use minions and tower you can get free autos this way

I think learning how to itemize is underrated. When I played league 7 years ago, I'd run into players who's mechanics or map awareness was way better than their rank. Then I'd look at their match history only to see them building rhe same thing every game

rockbelt is fine, but you really need the early NH for damage and first strike value. I've done both but NH feels a lot better in most scenarios.

Shyv gets a lot of value from haste, since she can also poke down opponents by spamming E. Back when the pick first became popular, she could get 40% CDR (which was the cap) with only two items and it was really what made her able to carry games, by making it impossible to defend towers

it does kind of, mostly because of tunneling on the fights and the minimap being in periveral however it helps against flanks etc so it has it's ups and downs.

I got d3 easily with ap shyvana mid under 80 games different build though. Might try first strike tp, but I def can get masters if I had more time to play, I already face 70% total win rate smurfs every game so it is possible. But challenger level players really know how to abuse the shyvana mid pick, you can just tell when you are against one lol

I can't believe that this actually works in d2 and above if the person who plays it isn't smurfing. You are completely useless with this pick. It's like playing an assasin that never has kill pressure, since you can easily avoid that ult all-in. And you will drop so many cs early that the enemy has such an advantage over you. No gank setup. Less pressure than kassadin lvl. 1-5. Your only mobility is tied to your only playmaking/damage ability. One cheesy all-in, which makes no sense, since you lose all your roam potential if you use it in lane. Enemy scaling champions will be happy if you waste your ult for poke and scale alongside them.

@@tatamigalaxy-i5r It's not just about kills though, even if you miss your E for the FS proc you still have massive wave clear until it wears off, and this can be tricky to juggle but you need to keep autoing and Qing wave while holding E to pressure them off wave once shoved you can look to E under tower for proc or you fade away E for final wave clear to get cheat recall

In all honesty, I think sitting in lane for 12-13 minutes, hoping to not die/feed, and getting what little farm you can is a incredibly poor way to start the game. The build works, but mostly because he's decent at it. There are much better champs to get first strike on that can actually lane mid. This is probably better top honestly, as a clutch pick. Not a regular thing. To put it into perspective, with the right runes, you can hit full build by 25 with some champs. He's only two items at 20 minutes.

assassins are good for shyv tbh, mostly because the majority are melee so farming becomes easier and getting FS procs are easier. in mid->late if they got a bunch off roams and are fed you just have to hold on to W to get out, as at that point W doesn't help too much clearing a wave anyways

He is very passive in lane and i agree it is good, but he isnt a weak character. Shyvana is mad strong before lvl 6 too. He got to improve hes early game. If you wait 30 minuts to be usefull you are playing a wrong champ. I would also say with Hes playstyle he dont need flash, he need ghost

Absolutely incorrect, this is just how you play Shyv on lanes, especially on mid when your opponents are usually ranged/have high mobility. The only time you don't take Flash on AP Shyv mid is for Ignite in specific matchups, Ghost isn't worth anything here as it won't save you from ganks that your W wouldn't have anyway, you aren't running anyone down with ghost like on top lane as the lane is far shorter, and you get more than enough movement speed from your W later on because you're AP. Flash is needed to survive ganks, you are extremely weak pre-6 into most enemies, especially ranged, and need to survive until 6. If you're even on kills at lvl 6 you jump on them with R and kill them or force them out of lane. Shyvana is only really strong pre-6 against low elo players who don't know how she works. who don't play with range advantages, and who don't kite her out. She's also far worse pre-6 when going AP than when going AD.
