I see that this is all about "macro" and stuff, but I'd expect a bit better "micro" from a Yasuo player, even at gold elo. Knowing his limits, feeling his damage, finding better angles and being more precise and confident in teamfights would help a lot. That said his climbing seems decent so he probably was just a bit tense during the live coaching

Before watching the video and just basing my comment on the title- coaching is just as valuable to winning players as it is to losing players- possibly more so. I play poker for a living, over 60% of the time I devote to poker is in the form of study and hand reviews- less than 40% is actually playing poker, even though I am a long term winning player and consistently deliver upwards of 30%ROI over large 100k+ hand samples- it's extremely important to be studying constantly because if you don't, you lose your edge to more studious players. It MUST be the same with League, even though being proficient in League of Legends is SIGNIFICANTLY more difficult than being proficient in poker (for me it is anyway).

At that elo I'd be looking to all in Vlad early as much as possible. If you just farm he can get free pokes on you. Yasuo's all in wins easy early. Level 1 if they don't know how to position themselves with a mage, level 2 with the gap close and from then on you can bait out W if you're not getting poked to shit.

I get so much out of watching these because of your incredibly deep understanding of the game. Sometimes, speaking as a teacher of 20 yrs (boring flex), you could zoom out a little for the student. Give broader context to the skill you're working on. At the end with your closing thoughts I kept hoping you would take that game turning mistake and couch it in more context so he could use the advice in a broader range of contexts. He's playing correctly based on his mechanical ability but if his micro is better there's a lot of free gold he let go of in lane. Winning doesn't matter if you're going to cap out at mid gold-low plat. Its a lot better to push yourself and lose, even if you fail you get better for it in the long run.

my opinion on the last part of the gme is to sell his gale force (personnally its trash) and buy IE and sell his boots for ninja tabies. and i think the whole game would be different, if he just build different items. because builded really weak scaling items, so he had no dmg to kill any of them and yasuo is all about instant dmg. a good build would be, Full boots AS, kraken, Bork, Ie, GA, DD. and later on when you are 4 items in buy different boots. and he would probebly be able to carry that. this is what i do.

Nah, Galeforce increases the burst potential of Yasuo and lets him get better tornado angles, since he's very easy to pick out of position. Also, IE is just not that good of an item on Yasuo anymore after the shieldbow nerf. The main problem of that game was just that the enemy had a 10x better scaling comp. Vlad and Illaoi can make yasuo virtually useless.

Galeforce's utility is simply a must have for Yasuo, even until the late game, to grab picks or create outplays.

W/L is not the metric to determine rank. You can be playing 50/50 for 1000 games and suddenly improve a lot and be diamond with 1050 W - 1000 L or you can easily be diamond with 80 W 50 L, or you can be silver with 80 W - 50 L. It’s about the level of games you’re winning at a progressively higher skill level, not how many pisslow wins you gain and then get hardstuck in gold.

@@YuYuYuna_ the silver player could have easily been bronze the previous season and had a lower starting point. We are not talking about fresh new accs but even then it applies to some extent. I’ve gotten 90% win rate in a silver and gold account very pretty stats. I also have a current diamond 2 account with a 52% win rate. Most of the stats that made the w/r so shit was when I was spamming games without improving, then when I broke my plateau I climbed quickly. I can easily make a new acc now and reach diamond with a 60+ win rate with very low number of games. There are randoms in gold with way better w/l that wouldn’t reach diamond in 1000 games. W/L (almost) means nothing, it just depends on where you are stagnant the most with little progress

@@YuYuYuna_ here is how you have different ranks with the exact same w/l: one account plows through bronze and silver with a pretty good win rate(not insane but good) then starts slowly losing more the higher they climb, while having had banked up a good number of wins in lower ranks. Now another player, plays through bronze and silver with an above average win rate but not that good, but is a better player and when reaching higher ranks continue winning and adapting. Their wins are banked up in higher ranks because they’ve been consistent with a consistent win rate regardless of higher or lower elo. This person is plat 4 and the other person is gold 3.
