Silly question, but are key words the same thing as the "style tag"? Do key words pull up if you use key words in the descriptions?

I would say style tags are keywords keywords are not style tags. So yes, anything that is a Keywords and title and description is searchable so you are always safe with that… Style tags are extra and like a clickable way for someone to drill down on a search… I have a separate video on style tags as well.💕

Where does the Poshmark algorithm look for keywords? In the description? In the title? Or only the keywords (where you can only put three) section??

I’ve noticed a lot of other Etsy shops offering very similar almost copycat products of many of mine… I can’t say anything for theirs when I started my Etsy shop, The only other Poshmark related listings were closet signs and thank you cards and now there seems to be an awful lot of digital downloads after I have posted all of mine… can’t stop it… Guess I have to be flattered… Because of that I did add some tags to my Etsy listing photos to show that it was from Rebecca the reseller so that people would know mine from the others. I guess it’s not clear enough thank you for the feedback.💕

I did a video on style tags and tried it but didn’t really go forward with it…. sometimes if I have extra time I will add them but not often… I usually put keywords in the title and description… I also have a virtual assistant that lists for me and I go with her keywords first, so I don’t have to do any extra work if the item doesn’t sell, then I go back and add more keywords, which usually helps… I try to do the bare minimum upfront and then add extra work to get an item to sell if needed… Often times the keywords I have trained her to use do the trick initially… Everyone’s level of keyword knowledge is different, so I like to make these kinds of videos to help those that need it💕

Dumb question maybe, but are you putting these keywords in the description or in the option of the 3 keywords? If in the 3 options how would we offer the possible search terms? Sorry, I’m so new!

No worries. Title, description, and style tags are all searchable so you can put the key words in any of those places… Most of the time I am using title and description.💕

Very informative video , loads of helpful information. IMO closets that have a lot of non selling posts with postings of labels, the wording out shine the item. I started breaking down sharing , ie; sharing dresses, jackets or just spring colors . Breaking down the categories…. Sales started picking up since reworking my wording, changing up my shares. the 2 words are tags, I have a video on that too, both are good for search but the tags let buyers filter and the keywords in the description just pull items into a search..hope that helps

I am working on some additional resources for Keywords… But it takes time for me with everything else going on to create an individual resource, but I do appreciate your feedback, and definitely think some thing with screenshots would be helpful… For essence, I think it’s more about overarching style and theme that may not relate to a specific element of the clothing item… I use the example of minimalist, or Boho those are styles, not specific elements of the item itself💕

I definitely want to start putting more graphics and video with my videos but editing for me does not come naturally I hire someone to help me and so I have to pick and choose what videos I include it in… The recent video I did about the brand that sold over $23,000 had some good editing to it with images and video… But for this one, it was more about the keyword and less about showing… You can always look up any keywords. You don’t know either in Poshmark or on Google to get examples.💕

Keyword stuffing with irrelevant words for exposure just pisses me off. I get someone using a word they thought would apply to the item, but those purposely using brands, etc just to get you there, is a big NO. It makes me immediately click off of their items.
