Funny thing just hours ago I bump into some scamming store want to charge approximately 70$ to "fix" someone PS4 , I just saw the screen on safe mode asking for update through USB (none speaking English country) I just told the guy take your console and follow me . Fixed it for him in 15m .

Yeah but probably he was wondering what went wrong for hours, but since he has no knowledge on electronics he couldn't find out, then he took it to the repairman and he found the problem in seconds, he paid for the repairman to study probably for years in electronics, if it was just about plugging in a cable of course he would do it, most of the repairs people need are just really obvious to electronic engineers, but even tho it's "obvious" people without electronic knowledge could never guess.

Kinda unrelated to the video but, I remember a couple years ago I got a new ps4 for Christmas. I was really excited for it, even got a VR headset with it. Well I only got to play it one time because after my family had to go out for a bit, we came back and it was fuckin gone. Someone stole it- And they didn't even take everything, they left the headset and controllers but took the PS4 itself with the little extra box for the VR part. So now I just have useless PS4 wires and controllers I can't use lying around, and I'm still fucking mad about it.

There screws are proprietary, they are just standard safety screws to prevent people from opening it up. Even if you disconnect the power cable, the power supply still holds a lot of power on it, the safety screw is to prevent people from poking at it and getting the shit shocked out of them.

@watermelon Yeah but you can still replace many components if you have some experience. It's a lot harder though now, like the battery is glued without pull tabs and you need to use heat and isopropyl alcohol. Used to love Samsung but they're trying too hard to become Apple. (Written on a Samsung)

@@deniz1603 Yeah, like mine, where the USB-C socket failed to charge and Nintendo charged $80 to replace that little thing. Also, the right joycon's leds stopped working for no reason. Not to mention the joystick drift issue that plagues most joycons. Nintendo's quality control has gone down the pipes with their latest console definitely.

So my mother and I bought a PS2 and we got it from a third party and it came damaged. Luckily I was able to repair it. It was my first time opening and tinker in any game console- it was a great experience.
