I think the reason zombies are so strong is because protecting the graves is much easier than protecting sunflowers. The graves are always protected by the hords of zombies which are supposed to die anyway while the plants all need to be protected otherwise the plant side will lose out on sun. Not only that but the gravestones seem so bulky for the plants while a single basic zombie can get rid of multiple sunflowers if not dealt with. For these reasons it's easier to get resources (sun and brains) for zombies than for plants. My best advice on balancing versus mode would be to reduce graves hp or increase cooldown on spamable zombies

However in the long run, zombie side will eventually lose as it get overrun by offense plants, as placing down plants is a one-time only and it will keep attacking as long as it lives. In the other hand, not only zombie side have to constantly spawn zombies which is already high-upkeep cost, the graves are also being destroyed, leading to loss of brains production overtime.

I think the zombies may be slightly too good? Just a hunch. Giga-Footballs, Ice Block Zombies, Gargs, Giga-Gargs, Gladiantuars, Boss Gladiantuar and Zomboss are all extremely tough to manage A good start would be Coffee Bean is 25 sun for the early game

Gladiantuar's price should be over at least 400 brains, and mega football zombies' around 300. ice blocks should be priced up as well. Boss gladiantuar and zomboss are very unfair in this mode as well :/

You should change coffee bean sun cost from 75 sun to 25 sun for controlling early game spam. Sun balance is a must need for fair game play and game design. Zombies are way too cheaper than the plants. Especially disco zombies and giga football zombies.

Looks cool as a start to all the possible 2 players PvZ battles. All what's left is pick the right balance for it. What I would change in balancing part is: 1. early game for zombies with very slow production of gravestones (or dynamic change of cost for zombies with very high values at the start) 2. an early game temporary shield on the red line for zombies 3. do something with new types of zombies. Most of them are pretty much OP for the price and recharge speed Maybe that would balance out the play style from both sides that boils down to whoever first overwhelms the opponent. It would be cool to see both expensive plants on the lawn and hordes of zombies attacking. Perhaps something in plants win condition also needs to change so that could happen

I think that Gravestones should be nerfed a little since it's way easier for zombies to keep them alive than for plants to protect sunflowers. Gravestones should either have a slower recharge or increased cooldown between brain production

This is so cool! You just have to add the balance changes to the plants, such as reducing/increasing the sun cost, and instant loading at the start of the play for some plants, so the player using the plants won't struggle in early game :B

Zombies are currently overpowered especially since player controlled zombies simply way too unpredictable compared to how zombies have always spawned. A good step is to make it so zombies always spawn by walking in from the right of the screen instead of being placed 3 tiles ahead.

bug fixes aside. theres some stuff which might be one to change. making starfruit 175, making coffee bean 25 + making the strong zombies like giga football more expensive. the new zombies being added/created were to keep up with the higher power plants. 175 star fruit is right for base versus mode and only needs to be 200+ if zombies get weaker overall.

The zombies are way too underpriced for pacing, i feel like it's just too easy to get many sorta overpowered zombies. I think it's a bit biased on the zombie side and a lot more unfair as the plants, since sun producing is a lot slower in comparison to the zombies.

base versus mode had this to an extent but 25 puff + coffee combo make plant early game not too bad. its the new zombies that are too undercosted + lack of 25 sun coffee bean causing further issues.

I'm pretty sure no one tried this on a PVZ mod before sooooooooo.... Add Rally Flag Zombies, basically Flag Zombies but faster, has double the health of a regular zombie, and boosts every zombie in a huge wave with the same effects as a blood moon, it would only be a thing in hard mode(Hard Mode exclusive zombies makes it more challenging, if it's doable) Also ALL HAIL THE ALMIGHTY SEASHROOM- oh wrong lawn? Okay.
