Every single player you decide to have a starter should be checked in his player card for 1: development (star or elite is best) 2:skill ceiling (how many greyed out ratings they have) 3: intangibles (height, speed, weight, etc.)

Brett here’s a kicking tip: try hitting the button a little bit before you think you should. There is a slight delay between the controller input and the game receiving the signal, and a lot of times you are slightly late, but just enough that you end up missing the kick (especially when the pressure is on) 👍
