This comes with a 2 speed transmission, portal axles and remote lockable diffs! Very impressive and usually only seen on the much higher end RC crawlers.

Doubtful as you can't buy this brand very easily in the United States. Unfortunately, there are a few models I like from this company, but they cost as much as if not more than buying the axial or Traxxas because of shipping. On top of that there's like a one two month shipping?

We have two and both myself and my daughter have put the Fusion SE 1800 in both and it transformed the Gladius into a crawling beast. Have a look if you want before you upgrade yours as we have plenty of footage of before and after. Great video 👍

The snobs will always go for the big brands, but personally, I love FTX cars. I have a Mauler, and an Outback 3 Paso, and the smiles per pound is second to none! I have a TRX4 Sport as well, and they really are different beasts. The ESC is an easy upgrade. HW1080, or an ISDT ESC 70 or 90. I've been looking at the Fusion as a possible upgrade, but it's a lot of £, compared to the cars. This does look like a great car though. 😎👍🏻

Very nice! Even if you add a good esc and a receiver for your favorite radio on top of that (front and rear locker independently controlled), it's still a bargain. Looking forward to see what you come up with the upgrades. Personally I would hold on to these tires (even though they got seriously packed in that thick mud) I have similar ones for my injora scx10 and they're a good all rounder especially on wet rocks or snow in the woods.

It's nice, I have a few FTX crawlers and Carisma crawlers. I love the FTX Outback Geo. One of my favorites. With the TRX4 you pay for premium quality. The TRX4 is practically indestructible and has extremely nice scale licensed bodies. You get what you pay for. It's priced right for the quality you get. Compared to the Carisma TRX4 clone you can tell the difference in quality. The TRX4 is just awesome and leaps ahead in quality. I run mine on 6s brushless and launch it at skate parks in second gear. The TRX4 and the XMAXX are the only two Traxxas I like. I can't justify paying a premium for all their other vehicles when I can get a Losi for the same price with better performance.

i know its because the ESC has a tamiya connector. Easily solved can be cut off and replaced. I am planning on replacing the ESC and motor on this to something.. lets say.. more exciting! Stay tuned haha!

You can order all the parts of a TRX-4 in metal and make your own. Worth it.

never saw a real bad rc from ftx. For this price, not possible a better kit of hardware. I have a ftx ravine with many mods but stock eletronics are good and slow speed control impressive which is the main quality of any crawler. I think they could have done better on this department but for 40eur more you can buy a 1080esc and have that slow speed control that is missing.

That the car handles better with the diff open like isn't that by default so to speak? If it did handle better with the diff closed something has to be wrong.
