In 1983 in My hometown of Wilmington, NC I saw a concert that the headliner was Hank Williams Jr. He had this young group to be his warmup act. That group was the young up and coming group called Alabama. Hank Williams JR let the lead singer of Alabama do a song with Him. Everyone was saying that Alabama was going to be a great Group. Alabama was inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame in 2005! Hank Williams Jr Was also inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2020. So I got to see Two future groups who would Country Music Hall Of Famers in 1983.

I am very happy y'all are learning more and more about the American Song Book and I especially enjoy your discovery of great Country Music. Alabama, which I saw LIVE at the Irwin Center in Austin, Texas in 1983, had a number of great hits in the 1980s. I have been getting so much that I missed for so long on utube. I recently retired and catching up. I just love that people, especially those not from the era, can see so much of the music I grew up with. I always loved all genres since I was an adult. Alabama was a bit one for me. You two are fantastic reviewers. You crack me up with your comments. In a good way. I love your channel and I love watching you. Growing up in Flint Michigan, I had a lot of Black friends. It was like pulling teeth to get them to listen to something other than the stations they were used to. Pop seemed to be the only medium everyone could be cool with. I admit, throughout high school I would not be caught dead listening to anything but Rock. Thank God for college. It opened my eyes to how much I truly liked so many more types of music. I went back to many I had foregone and I do not know why I did not like them. I loved them as an adult. I learned through watching a documentary that the world had opera and classical. Then came the United States and music became one of our biggest exports. There are more types of music that developed from the different regions of the US that have filled the world now. Dozens and dozens of different genres born here in the US. I never knew. On the documentary the other countries totally agreed that the most music came out of the US. Keep them videos coming you two. We love and your doing a great job!
