So it turns out that playing 15+ energy’s worth of powers automatically at the start of every combat is pretty strong, surprising nobody. If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. It’s the equivalent of getting an event that lets you lose 6 max hp for a decent Relic, except as much as you want and for a wide selection of relics. Dropping to a low max HP can be risky if you don’t choose powers wisely, but…skill issue? it’s only really bad with a Defect build that relies on playing a actively bunch of powers, though I guess it just becomes busted again if you find a Creative AI.

Once he plays a power from his deck, it is permanently removed from his deck. In the following combats, it auto-plays them at the start of his first turn each combat. Since Deva Form make him gain X extra energy at the START of each turn, he technically didn't have it in play when the turn actually started, so its effect doesn't happen until the next turn. Same applies to Fasting giving -1 energy, it only starts doing -1 energy from turn 2 onwards as it is then considered in play.
