As an executive chef and was once a restaurant manager., most people will right a review when they have a bad experience. Either way a bad experience is a bad experience. I do agree that you need to hit these spots when they are busy. Any place can potentially be good or even great when they are dead.

Daym likes tree bark, cut your mouth, burnt bacon. Which would be awful on a sandwich. But that bacon still could have had some crispy edges on it to give it some depth of texture. But bacon should still have a good chew to it.

If your ever in New Mexico you should check out Blake's Lotaburger its family owned local place. They have some newer locations and some so old its a walk up window no lobby. They cook all burgers to order and the green chile a special blend created just for them. For a first visit Id recommend a Double Meat New Mexico style. That thing is huge! And id also get because its what i get an Itsa burger no mustard add mayo add grilled onions if they season it right its hitting!

Daym I appreciate what you do! Just that I think many of these spots know you will tear them down if their food is wack. So upon seeing your face, the management screams at the staff to give you their absolute best. The average customer won’t have that much attention to detail paid to their food! I’ve literally had that experience before. I went to a spot you rated high. They treated your food like a king. They literally threw my food on the counter as if to tell me to get out. There’s levels😩😂

That bacon looked perfect to me. I don't like my bacon crispy at all so that's definitely a matter of personal preference. I don't care for onion rings on burgers though because they are always soggy. Those sliders looked good!

I don't know about Dave n busters or where you just visited I do know in 1985 we had what was called the center, i. Fairbanks Alaska it had arcade, bumper cars, roller rink, bowling alley a grill and an upstairs called the rooftop restaurant and bar with an elevator. It was great great food but unfortunately, the oil industry bust in the 90s and it closed to become a Sears which also has closed. It was a beautiful building many teenage memories there every Friday night skate time😂❤ this review you reminded me of that place one of the 1st of its kinds back then

It would seem smart, if a med well burger order came up, the cook would put it on the bacon too. I'm usually disappointed in so called bbq burgers. Bbq sauce does nothing for a burger especially drenching an onion ring that could've been enjoyed as a garnish on the side. Seems like the place had some potential. Looks like an old fire house.

The pork slider did look pretty good. To be honest, I think the burgers were not made in-house. They were probably supplied pre-formed with painted on grill marks on it, hence the drop in quality. They may wanna switch to all-beef patties weighed and formed in-house. And Daym….after-sex limp onion rings? You play too much! 😂😂😂

Daym, a burger done medium well? No wonder it was dry! At least get medium (medium rare, in my opinion mind you) would have made it juicier! However I understand. My father used to get everything well done. Maybe growing up in the depression they were told to get everything well done? I don’t know. He’s no longer with us so I can’t ask him 😢.
