Just found this video and, wow. It’s truly sad how things ended. I was part of the original Bavaria for a brief time, like around 2014-15 and been actively around the Model affiliated groups since 2014 (like Das Nordland) and it’s so nostalgic. They tried to relaunch Bavaria around 2017 and again in 2019 (even helping a bit with development myself). I was very hyped and there was quite a lot of activity initially, however, for some reason, it died like most WW2 German-based groups nowadays. I heard about this new launch and I was present in the announcement ceremony at the castle but this time as a visitor because I was very skeptical of its success and sadly, that was the case. Bavaria reached its prime long ago, the community itself has decayed a lot after 2017 and it’s simply not the same anymore. Maybe it died for the best.

Can confirm this group was a downfall. I was a developer for the group and built the map all by myself while ajax helped with the layout that you see in the video, they told me I would receive my payment in a few days, however it has been somewhere about 3 months. They scammed me and left no shame behind. Ajax told me he would pay out of his own funds in where he received hundreds of thousands on robux but he just ghosted me and ran off.

Wow, this reminds me of when I used to participate in war groups back in 2016-2021. My most memorable and cheerful experience was the Knights Templar Order from the Third Crusade genre. (Lionhearts, as it is more famously known now.) I remember using linked swords, crossbowing people, people being toxic, people complaining, etc. And well, the group now? Well… it’s alive and doing pretty good, but it lost its old good luster for me ever since the launch of Lionhearts. And that’s really how most of us are now, when we return to a war group we haven’t participated in a long time, our old nostalgia and memorable experiences blind us into thinking it’ll be the same as it was, that we’ll get the same dopamine of joy that we fondly remember when we used to have back then. But atlas, we don’t, so then we get disappointed at how things have changed, and well, we sometimes become regretful that we had ever had returned back, instead wishing we had let those cheerful memories bury. But aside from that rambling, this video reminds me of border games that I used to be in, such as many Soviet Union groups that I was in and the Duchy of Austria 1950s and German Empire

Yeah, nostalgia can definitely be like that. Something I've tried to do is allow myself the freedom to be nostalgic over things without letting them hold me back. Sometimes, nostalgia will restrain a person from becoming what they have the ability to be because being stuck in the past means you can never move forward. Nonetheless though, I think the beauty of humanity is that we are going to feel really big emotions sometimes and you just have to get through them and process them. A lot of people try to numb said emotions, but really allowing yourself to experience them - that's art.

The same EXACT thing happened to the LVF, we ran into problems with leadership (Renault) which led to him stealing our only developer which led us to free lancing a bunch of devs and spending a but load of cash on random devs that come and go. The sheer amount of devs we hired was upwards to 30+ just to work on Paris alone and yet we couldn't launch due to the lack of competent devs being within the community anymore. It's such a shame to see what's happening to this once amazing community.

Tubby has now relaunched Model Studios, as of about 3 hours ago, and he says he will be "paying more attention to it." Model Studios is his text RP studio that he neglected, if you don't know what it is. Like 4 years ago, it used to have dozens of players, and would peak at like 100 players, but now they struggle to get 10. In the interview, it also mentions how he got his funds from Model Studios, but never bothered to try to help the studio even though he knew it was struggling a bit. Model Studios is one of the biggest communities in the world of WW2 RP, and it makes a ton of money for Tubby. I think he realized that it could make decent money, which is why he relaunched it. I'm pretty sure he has atleast a million to two million inside of the group. Anyways, good video.

Yes sir. As someone whos been in this group since im 8 I can tell you the following: Owner and the highest of the highest are usually adults. Developers the same. Some even married... Officers are usually kids. Especially in intelligence divisions Clanners are adults NCOs and all of that mostly kids aswell. Now you will notice that the officers and the NCOs are mostly kids but not the ranks higher than them. That is simply because they either stay officers forever or they get discharged because they are inmature. I nevrer saw a kid become the chief of a division. I think I remembered hearing about this guy at some point. I used to do a lot of military larping, mostly Civil War Union but did other eras like WWII Panzer Lehr. Not sure really but ErichModel sounds familiar, but this video reminded me all those times I did that stuff back from 2013-2017. Thanks for the memories haha

I used to be active in the WW2 groups back in 2017-2020ish with USM1940 and I was there for the fallout when the Models left and the chaos at Fort Bragg, fun times. I also remember being in the 2019 Bavaria for a bit but left as I just found it too repetitive of the USM1940s that I once was in. I also for a bit was a high command in ANZAC and that seems to be the only WW2 group left that's managed to survive all these waves. However, the issue in my opinion is that it's not the mid to late 2010s anymore, the people who played during that age group have long moved on and there is barely any left who have an interest in this. The current generation of roblox plays and I am not trying to sound like a boomer, but they just don't care or have the time and dedication for such an unchanged and time-consuming game and community with the exception being usually the countless Papers Please ripoffs because that actually has substance to it. All in all in my opinion, the WW2 group craze of the 2010s is long dead and now it's silly to try and hang on to that former glory of constantly being at the top for groups when the demographic and interest has long moved on or grown up from this focus. I mean heck your interviews show how old these guys who are running it are, and don't get me wrong well done for their dedication, but hanging around running a Roblox group on a platform aimed towards people aged 8-18 in contrast to the demands of the real world and growing up, well it's just kinda sad and pointless now. Perhaps it's just simply time to let this genre of community drift into the pages of the Roblox Library, instead of trying to keep it going and ruin what little relevance it has any more

That's a pretty good point that a lot of the demographic has grown up, but I do feel like there probably is new kids finding these groups. Obviously, they're not going to be exactly like you guys because of generational shifts - but, I still believe that there's a fair amount of kids with an interest in history who might at least try these groups out. I think they'll probably be a lot less popular than they once were, but they'll stick around.

I think i was actually a part of a very similar group, to the point where even the gun models and uniforms look litterally the exact same. Got myself a place in the polish motorized vechicle division or whatever and after my sudden promotion, i kinda left the game for a month and came back to find the game dead, my division disbanded and litterally everything that had any connection with the group either abandoned or deleted. Apparently the owner got hacked, something happened between the pepole in charge, they promised that the game would recieve a big update and then bam, silence.

As someone that has tried to coordinate community projects (outside of roblox) before, it really is like herding mice. It's very cool seeing projects succeed but a good amount of them just die before or right after launch.

I get that. I really do wanna see small groups succeed more than anything because they tend to have the best communities. But, I also think in a case like Bavaria, holding leaders responsible is important when they mismanage; even if it does have an adverse affect on the group.

There was an old group I used to raid a lot as a resistance member and it was called the Prussian Confederation or something, can’t really remember the name, tho what I can remember is always being excited about going on their server when it was full (which was full very often back then) and raid them. I’d find dozens of ways to sneak in by either finding a way over or through an invisible wall or run in when no one was looking. I remember tried killing their emperor for the first time by disguising as a soldier and sneaking into a dinner party, and when I saw my chance, shot him and ran out before they could realize what happened, got killed before I could escape the palace sadly. I’d continue to raid them for years, stealing tanks, ambushing, sniping, stealing planes, etc. the biggest raid I ever did was when a friend of mine invited a whole other group into the server, and it was a huge battle between the GDR (German Democratic Republic) and the Prussian Confederation. The GDR eventually won, won’t ever forget that raid. But sadly some good things come to an end, and pretty soon the group died out and I haven’t done another raid in years cuz no one plays anymore. Best Roblox years of my life, will never forget it.

A rather notable one was the British army and the US Army. (Can’t remember whos) But because they were rivals and I actually preferred the personality of the leadership in the BA I said it was better, some dude with admin commands in the US army crucified me, and said I should get cancer 💀 This was in like 2017 but I only remember it because I just find it funny how vexed he got. Thats one fragile ego.

@Lioditell About Model Studios, I used to be a Moderator at the peak of the groups activity, probably around a year ago the group split in two after it died, I was one of the people who left and went to another group made by Sam, called GTP after so kind of abuse destroying the server, this entirely killed the franchise as Tubby was gone. In GTP we became the enemy of MS, many of us were banned, including myself, then after slow development, eventually stopping, a lot of the interns at GTP quit, now I'm trying to get a ban repeal for MS just to see the group one last time and see if its still alive, this group has a very interesting history I think you should explore, I'll give you my discord if you ever wish to interview me, just comment on this, got tons to say, and other staff members that have more information.

yeah, true @@Liodite But the map to players ratio is a bit off, I remember when the weapons used to be assets and you had to manually cycle the action on a bolt gun, and the map was tiny, than it went to the 4 buildings and the point in the middle (I had my first hacker encounter there, he gave people penises lol) Then the bigger map, that was the best one honestly, the one when the river was thin, and the Turrets by base and tanks were added in the next version. Now it's more aestetically pleasing but I find it to be way to big. Also the Armory is great though the Finnish armory is empty which is sad because the finns had the coolest armory IMO (and also the best which is a partly a fact) in the whole war. (Take "Frontline Karelia" as an example, which is a game about the continuation war, and has the 2nd best gunplay I've seen in roblox yet) I'm haven't played in really long but I'll happily see the game grow as I've been familiar with it for all of it's life pretty much

Yeah, it's kinda weird. Back when I originally joined military groups (2016ish), people would get dismissed constantly from tryouts. Nowadays, it's like anyone with four limbs and 20 digits gets in - I'm not sure if it's a shift in culture or just a rise of quotas.

Im still in ErichModel's new and also slowly dying group Model Studios. I absolutely love the community of people their, and theyve launched 2 new games. I joined back in late 2020 to early 2021 and hung around a bit. I'd learned quite a bit about Erich, who now goes by tubby or "tubaye", and I have to honestly say I'm impressed whith what he's done, but he tends to start development on projects, release them, and then say he will further update but leave to die out. There was a point where he left MS for a while to set up a new group by the name of Vanguard Studios with FPS games rather than RP games, but gave up shortly after. In my own opinion, I would say maybe check out MS and the games, and if you really enjoy them, stay along. But just beware of tubby's tendency to hopp off of his projects. (Sorry for the tangent by the way, just wanted to give addition to something I've been part of as I never see stuff close to this)

Yeah, I've heard of both MS and VS, I don't really have the knowledge or experience to speak on Erich, but I can understand the frustration of a game you like dying down due to lack of updates, for sure.

I was involved with the creation of a Group named United States Space Force. I was an admin (or at least a high ranking member). Not a day after its first launch everyone went inactive. I spent money on gamepasses too... The other groups were FBI and DIA but those weren't so disastrous.

rp groups are successfull when theres less "rp" and more combat and events. ETC: the TGC and the TNI/rebels although the game has been quartered in terms of memebrs it is still very active with gamenights, raids and combat events. Formal events are almost non existent because they know that its geniunely boring .

Meh, it's kind of a mix. I've seen roleplay groups that do more roleplay and can do really well. I think a lot of it just totally depends on the leaders of the group.

Bloodlines and stupid pettiness ruined any fun to be had in Roblox military groups, all the fun groups with active communities had what eventually happens to all of them, they grow up and move on from the funny Lego game. Also, not to mention how weird it is that the RWW2 community was at one point mostly ran by adult men when it's a children's website.

Yo so I was a modeller for this group I made all the helmets, hats and gears. And even did some tanks that never got put into the game. So basically ajaxmodel just kind of dipped with all the fundamentals and I never got paid. He just was ghosting me for weeks before he did what he did. Was excited for the group they had the funds to make it awesome.

I'd join a group that i could fit in. I also have a tendency to go against orders IF I see better alternative. I once joined a military group but hadn't tried getting promoted above Lance Corporal, mostly because i, for some reason, have trouble giving orders because of a damn disability that makes it hard asf to type or speak (mind goes blank on certain words with complex meanings).

I mean, I wouldn't say it's in a state of disrepair. But, it's definitely a lot different than it was 5, 10 or however many years ago. But, that's with anything; shit changes. And like, we've also gotten a bunch of new technology especially in these last 4ish years or so. That's been really good for a community that was stuck in 2012 for so long. For all the problems the community does have, there are still hundreds if not thousands of new memories to be made because it's never been about the technology, it's about the people around you that make it worthwhile.
