I am about 55 minutes in and it seems like the green player is actually working their ass off to give you second place... probably due to the good neighbors you were at the beginning... Wich might lose them the game... But they tried.

I downloaded today. I was doing well in one game, had Africa and South America locked down, took a card by attacking Western Europe. Then I screwed up, sending reinforments to Western Europe instead of the West Africa I wanted to reinforce. The other player, from then on, would not let me keep a territory. I came in third, and his insistence on hitting me saw him get second.

The number 1 rule to live by when playing risk, or dare I say even just living, you can apply it to everything if you want. “It isn’t over until it’s over” basically meaning keep fighting until you physically can’t, or at least it’s how I interpret it.

When you slide the amount of troops when you attack. How do you know what is the exact number to use against the other player. Like if you were attacking a 9 what is the percentage you use to figure out what is the minimum to use to attack it

Honestly the fact that people “self-destruct” is the most annoying thing about risk. Sometimes you can’t control if you win or lose, if somebody is dead set on destroying you with everything they have, they probably will, or at least give someone else the chance to third party.

I think playing the players is the whole point of risk. Annoying someone always carries the risk they go for you. So do you keep them small and risk their ire, or do you hope someone else bites the bullet but risk them getting unstoppable. Getting annoyed over other people playing their game is kind of pointless

In the Europe game i knew from the start green was a noob, trapping your stack in progressive is very dumb because you cannot kill, he didnt attack anyone to have no enemies and than take half of the board. He attacked red in the late game so he wouldn't break his scandinavia which would of free his big stack, and him not fortifying the stack every single turn is a very novice play..

You had an abandoned asia for most of the early game, you saw 2 players try and scout out Asia and flee at the sight of your 20+ stack It was uncontested until Red fled Africa in a panic. You could have known this just from social ques instead you were discussing attacking europe, which you knew at the time was hotly contested soil.

You seem to be playing a fixed cards style game even though you are on progressive. The other players are clearly absolute noobs to let you get the W but you should really check out some of the best risk players like Kill Pete strategies to learn how to play well on these setting!
