I think I really learned something good here: I also want to play aggressively when I play Dazzle, I even get Blight Stone as my first item, but not all the time, you should play aggressively. Patience is always the key. Communicate with your core. I could have won more games with Dazzle if only I knew when to play defensively or offensively.
@ZQuixotix Жыл бұрын
Yes, I miss when Dazzle was better at being really aggressive. I think it's a little harder for him now that he has to be the one to refresh his Q. It can still happen, but being patient and defensive is definitely the right call some games.

Also dazzle player, I found chipping tanky heroes down bit by bit more effective when landing with high burst carries like ursa. They get forced to buy tons of tangos or lane very defensively.

Or have a better killing combo than you in lane, like snap slardar or ET NP or NP Tusk.

one of the hardest thing is managing your bloodlust, it skews with the calculation of could you actually win it or not.

Definetly. I felt like I was invincible with DD and their followup stun dead as ember, so I wanted to force a fight no matter what

Reposting as you recommended on stream: Oh I have a great match for this series. 7094106332 I'm Faceless Playing with my IRL mates, so this stack is all OVER the damn place in terms of rank. My 5 Lina decides that instead of listening to the every-other-player he's playing with who are all MUCH higher MMR than him, he's going to start tangos/ward straight into Arcane Boots straight into GLEIPNIR, with Maelstrom first. While this is happening AA is getting hard bullied mid by rotations on every rune, and I'm missing CS because apparently the phrase "please issue your attack command from outside the creep aggro radius" is too complicated, so lane ends up hard shoved under enemy offlane tower when we should have total control. From here, our 5 player moves into his next classic move: "why aren't we fighting?" End of the day, my last hitting is terrible, I'm not even close to where I really should be in terms of CS at 10 mins, the lane becomes basically impossible to exist in at about 5:30 when I have to expend loads of health and mana for a kill that isn't really nessecary. We could just bait them under tower if Lina was actually maxing his stun (like he had been told to). But we as a team fall behind on map control and net worth to such an extent that with my AA going midas to attempt a recovery, I feel I have to skip the current standard midas/mael build and opt for MOM instead. From there, things spiral hardcore. my farming is inefficient, all our cores are being hunted and shut down by their incredibly early game draft, people are getting passive-aggressive about my farming patterns and lack of money, we're down on save items cause Lina is rushing Gleipnir first item with the farming component as a pos 5 and is maxing her q, we take a TERRIBLE fight due to a miss-communication on Chrono useage (14:33, I said I was running with Chrono so Willow went in, suicided cause he didn't see I wasn't in range and had to use time walk to get DOWN the cliff, and we lose the kills), and we just get walked over. I feel that playing like this on Lina, handicapping my ability to CS in lane with massive over-aggression, and rushing carry items to effectively just end up as an underfarmed mid is what puts this game firmly in dangerous waters from minute 0, (or I guess 5:30, to be a little more accurate), the support (who builds like this on EVERY support hero btw, this is NOT an outlier), disagrees, and thinks that if his cores were "just better and more aggressive" (he has not elaborated on how we're meant to achieve this), we wouldn't be "lacking damage" and he wouldn't, quote, "need to go these items", (again, how one is expected to have damage with no farm as a position 1 is something of which I have not been enlightened). If I'm wrong, I'd love to know, I'd be VERY interested in how I managed to peak at almost five TIMES his current MMR with my knowledge so WOEFULLY out of sync with the game (admittedly, two years ago, I've not played ranked since, so I'm not saying I'm even approaching that level anymore). On a more serious note, I face this kind of issue a lot when I play with these guys, and I feel like I'm letting them down when they try their best to give me space. My farming has always been one of my strongest points, but I can't seem to find the money I need. Meaning either it's not possible, or I WAY misunderstand all aspects of fighting and ability management and I've been unknowingly compensating for that by just being able to brute force THROUGH my own bad positioning/targeting/etc with better farming than the other carry. So when games get hard like this and I don't have the kind of space I'm used to and know how to maximise, I'm effectively completely knee-capped. This particular game is hard, and limitations of the gamemode (they refuse to play anything but single draft, it's "more fun when people don't know what heroes they're going to get", I've tried to extoll the virtues of random draft, but alas...) mean our draft DOES suck, especially in the early mid game. But I feel like I could have done better. I also feel like my pos 5 made my life a lot bloody harder than he could and should have done. So I implore you, Quixotix. Who's fault IS it, anyway? P.S. The starcraft references and the Zealot death sound? Impeccable!

This reminds me of some of my games as skywrath pos4, most of the time offlaner does understand what i can offer and helps me find kills at lvl 1-2 then there's those rare instances that my centaur/slardar are just sitting there wanking themselves while i do some deward/pull/harass/ shenanigans I've learned not to trust those heroes, even a nightstalker would gladly use void every once in a while and tank for me.

Just started ranking and I see too much blame and toxic at the herald level where they just off and try to solo and end up feeding..most forget that its teamwork that can even turn a losing game into a winning one.

1. Match 7094182801 2. I was playing as crystal maiden 3. I felt like I had a very strong laning phase with specter, but that the second I rotated top the entire team started feeding relentlessly, and we lost by 35 min. Sniper won his lane, but didn't make any space for the team, and our offlaner picked PA. I felt like because of how PA and sniper were playing, there was nothing I could do to have a positive impact. My cores spent the whole game dead, so I couldn't support them, and between legion and bloodseeker, I died every time I showed on the map, so I couldn't split push

the biggest issue I have with carry is when they wont harass at all to make lane easier so they can get farm. If both other heros are full hp they arent gonna let you farm is hard to explain to some people.

Yes but if you go out of your way to harass he can't follow because he will lose to much Lasthits

This game is on ember. Obviously since he is herald or w/e rank it was its hard for him to perform and carry the game but his lead and hero was able to win the game. Don't get dueled and your bkb saves you from CM and WR spells. Only press bkb for their control spells and you are fine. The first fight with DD you could definitely have killed a few heroes but you didn't cast any spells really.
@chumbogrosso5133 Жыл бұрын
True. The thing was that I saw the fight as a 4v3 (dont play vs spectre much) and didnt realize what happened to shaman he positioned where their team came and became the conduit to the maelstrom procs from WR. By the time I got there everyone was dead, I should've ditched like zach said

1. Match ID - 7094592605 2. I was Playing Snapfire 3. I felt like we had a strong game from start to mid but the axe never came to us when we asked him to come and our whole team got tilted because of that, our axe won his lane but he never cared for how to play the game i was constantly pinging to play the top half of the map to get rs and have decent fights but he either died to 3-4 enemy heroes or he just came way too late into the fights which ultimately lost us the game

MatchID: 7101363281 Im the jakiro this game Honestly i know jakiro has the ability to solo carry from the support role, specially this patch, but i dont really know how to do that apart from just supporting my best. After winning lane with jugg, tried helping other lanes a bit late so midlane and offlane both fed hard. Also everybody went sus builds imo. I think I saved and controlled people a lot but didnt push too much as i was afraid of bounty and inv slark. No idea how i could have won this match.

As a core player... It should be the support's responsibility to read my mind and know exactly how I want to play the lane.
@ohreally3500 Жыл бұрын
As a core player and a supp player that's kinda hard to do without knowledge on both positions (1 & 5) this is why I always expect my 5 to grief me without them knowing it with their moves during the game specially laning phase 😅
